Adjusting To A Stand Up Desk

I like the fact it keeps me from having to constantly adjusting the Mac stand for different height people.

This C-Stand is fantastic. It is solid and well oiled so it rotates nicely and adjusting the stand to any height is smooth. The weight of it actually surprised me, being a little heavier than expected which for a stand that I plan on putting heavier lights on, it is even better. However, I would probably still suggest investing into some sand bags, because nothing is worse than trying to short cut things and having your lights come crashing down on the ground.

This is a great product with minimal assembly. This Boom Arm is ready to go with very little to no adjusting needed depending on the mic you are using. I have a Rode Pod Mic and a Shure SM7B and both work great with no adjusting. It is great that you can mount to the side of your desk or table or use the added attachment and mount directly to the desk with a little drilling. I highly recommend.

Easy to put together, very heavy duty. Adjusting the desk up and down is no problem, simply crank the handle which takes almost no effort. One small problem was that my desk was missing an end cap for the metal brace. Not the end of the world but it does make the desk not 100% perfect, but still love the construction and will recommend.

Up front, I've only been using this a few weeks. I cannot speak to longevity - and by the time I could, something new would be out. Storing TB's of photos, I've used several different drives. The Oyden is by far the fastest at transfer I've used. It's also exceptionally quite. It does get a bit warm, but nothing near hot. Again, much cooler than any past drive. I use it on-desk and don't carry it around, and backup by doing a full file-copy. (I want better access and portability than a true backup will give me.) The rubber frame around the drive will handle any minor vibration I have, as well as moving it from desk to storage. Overall, a really nice unit.

These stands are well built with metal that is holding all four of my Samsung 32" monitors. It took me 35 minutes to setup with my monitors mounted, positioned, and leveled.
