It gives you piece of mind to manage your plans at your convenience rather than giving away your credit card number to Adobe.

I first want to say that I use this not as a hobbyist but as a working photographer. So, having software to manage images and processing them images are very important. I used the CS6 version for many years and was a little annoyed at the subscription plan like many others. When Adobe introduced the photography plan, it was well worth a look and at the price point, it does not break the bank. Having said that, I do like what Adobe has done with both packages and it has made my workflow easier. A big up for working on tethering, it is much much better than previous versions. I haven't had any issues with the catalog or some of the other issues mentioned, so I will continue to use this for the foreseeable future.
