Adobe Reverse Image Search

This is my second C920s webcam. It has great features and a beautiful image. It's basically plug & play right out of the box, with one major exception. I immediately realized that the image is reversed upon plugging the webcam in. Why the default image is reversed kind of blows my mind. There were no directions on how to reverse the image. I went on the Logitech website and searched for a solution. Nada. I searched Google, too. All the solutions were complicated and convoluted. I ended up downloading 2 or 3 programs that didn't solve my problem. Since this is my second C920s, I went back to my first installation of this webcam on my other PC. The image was right on. So, I checked and I have a program called Logitech Capture. I checked its settings, and sure enough, under the Source 1 settings there's an Advanced Settings slider. Sliding that to On opens up another set of settings. One of them is horizontally flip source. Checking that check box flips the image to the proper point of view. Why Logitech would reverse the default image is beyond me. And, why they don't provide instructions on how to flip the image is crazy. Anyway, just downloading this simple (free) program from the Logitech website solves the issue. All is well. I'm very happy with the webcam now.

I am not a professional image manipulator and am unwilling to pay Adobe every month for Photoshop. Great program that suits my needs at a very reasonable price. Thank you B & H.

I have been a Lightroom user since version 1, but have long resisted moving to the subscription plan system (staying with version 5 since 2012). With a new computer purchase, I decided this was the time but was shocked to see the price on the Adobe website had increased to $20 per month. This was the only way I found to get the price back down to $10 per (which was what I had budgeted), so I went ahead and made the switch. Love the new features/tools, there has been many improvements since the last version 5 update, but am happy the interface has remained the same so it was a seamless transition. Cannot say enough good things about the organizational abilities of Lightroom along with the myriad ways to find an image once it is in the catalog. Over 100,000 photos and I can track down an image within 15 seconds when necessary. Once found, it is quick and easy to make the necessary adjustments prior to output. While I would love to be able to purchase a perpetual license as before, this 12 month subscription seems like a decent compromise considering the new Adobe pricing.

I've used the year-paid-in-advance Adobe Photoshop CC Plan for a few years since subscriptions became mandatory and I went to Windows 10. The subscription system works well. It is NOT buggy. Used in concert with an Adobe account you have access to their user forum (useful if you are a newbie, useless if you are experienced). Most function problems are install related, and I can attest that Adobe phone support (India) is great. At only $10 a month for the latest Photoshop, two versions of Lightroom, and Adobe Bridge (the fantastic image asset management software) it is practically free. You can do anything visually imaginable to a pixel based image in Photoshop. This is a deal.

I've had my 100S since the Fujifilm embargo lifted on March 11th and it has been absolutely great. I am an enthusiast, not a pro photographer, and take primarily landscapes, gardens, architecture, travel, and urban-street subjects. The 100S has been fun and rewarding to use. The image quality detail, dynamic range and colors are breathtaking. I bring up an image in Adobe Camera Raw and the Fujifilm profiles are all so beautiful but different. One profile will almost always fit like a glove for a photo that I select. The new Nostalgic Negative I've used quite a bit in landscapes. The Adobe profiles are very good also but they usually are not what I select. The 100S is comfortable to handhold and the lenses are very well crafted and bring me back to my Hasselblad 503 CW days. I recommend the Fuji handgrip also, it conforms well to the hand with camphered bottom edges, much more comfortable than L-Brackets that I've used in the past. It's Arca-Swiss dovetail works well with my RRS equipment (see photo). So yes, except for photographers specializing in Birds or high speed sports action, if you want the very highest image quality, I fully recommend that you buy the 100S.

With the advent of Adobe Photoshop Mobile on my Apple iPad Pro 12.9", the Paperlike screen protector is an essential part of this new mode of using Photoshop. I do a lot of image manipulation, including making layer masks and restorations. I love using the Apple Pencil to mask along image edges, and using Photoshop's healing brush to get rid of dust spots and scratches. Paperlike's texture feels really natural and relieves that awkward feeling of "drawing on glass."

As you know filters help with image quality during the day. I was in search of filters for my new GoPro Hero 9 and decided to go with the Freewell 4K series. I'm glad I did, they are well built, and do exactly what I bought them for. I would highly recommend. - JM
