Affinity Photo Review

I've been looking for a good alternative to Photoshop - Affinity Photo is excellent! It does everything I need, it's easy to use, fast, and there is NO monthly subscription! I highly recommend Affinity Photo.

If you are tired of paying for monthly subscription prices, the Affinity Photo and Designer are a great inexpensive option.

Why pay $20 a month for the rest of your life? Purchase Affinity Photo for less than $50 and never pay another cent. For most people, comparable to Photoshop... better in many ways.

Works great. Using it with a brand new MacBook Pro M1-Max. Using it with both Affinity Photo and Capture One.

Affinity Photo is powerful software and does everything I need. It is fully optimized for Apple's new M1 chip which makes Affinity Photo very quick. The one time purchase makes it an incredible value compared to the monthly subscription model of Photo Shop.

I'm using the Wacom Intuos Photo Pen and Touch in conjunction with Affinity Photo and Affinity Design. The Intuos adds a new dimension of control with the pressure sensitive pen and tablet. The Intuoss completely replaced mu mouse in just a few days. I also purchased the wireless kit for the Intuos adding an additional portability to the product. The pad lacks some of the programmable buttons found on the pro model. But for the size and ease of portability I believe the Intros is a great buy.

Affinity Photo 2 Reads and Edits A7RV RAW Files while Adobe ACR has not been yet updated for A7RV. I have been using Affinity Photo for over a year and find it to be a very capable product (after learning curve). Requires version 2 for A7RV RAW files.

My only need for photo editing software is stitching photomosaics. I have only used Affinity a short time, but it works as smoothly and as well as Photoshop at a greatly reduced (one-time payment) price.

Being a hobbyist photographer that has only used basic photo software such as what comes on Win 10, I am amazed what one can accomplish with Affinity Photo. Being able to correct exposure or shadow issues in a specific part of a photo with curves feature, inverting and using brushes to retouch can salvage many photos. I'm just scratching the surface but am loving Affinity! I do not care for subscription services and think this was a great alternative. Just playing with the attached photo that was in the reviews section gives an example of the area specific adjustments that can be made to over exposure with Affinity.

Affinity Photo is a great replacement for Photoshop at a much lower cost - $50. There are many tutorials on youtube and this software has everything that I will ever use plus much more. It is also a lot of fun to learn and use.
