This is such a great little prime lens. The size is perfect, matched up with the M50 for fitness vlogs, the very small footprint is wonderful for making videos without being an overwhelming rig. Plus it’s ability to handle low light situations is a must.

I purchased this to attach from my Nikon to a star tracker. This size was too big to fit into the star tracker. I am hanging on to it because it will fit something else. I ordered the Vello 2.5 mm remote shutter release cable and believe that will work the tracker. The cable releases from Vello seem to be dependable.

If you want to use your existing light stands to mount backdrops, this is a great affordable option. Plus it does collapse down to save (a little) space. I saw other reviews stating that you have to remove the anchor screw to slide on the roll: this is true but how often are you really taking off the backdrop? And if that small extra effort is a deal breaker, then splurge for a different crossbar that's twice the price.
