I bought this remote switch for long exposures, dim lighting situations and to eliminate vibration on telephoto wildlife shots. I already have the RC-6 wireless remote, but since you must be in front of the camera for it to work, it's only good for family photos that I'm in. The RS-60E3 is a breeze to operate and I couldn't be happier. The cord is just long enough to give you a little movement behind the camera, but not so long that it gets tangled up anywhere. In fact, the cord wraps around the switch for easy storage. I really like that I can hold down the shutter button and lock it in place for continuous shooting or to keep the shutter open. This is extremely useful when taking wildlife photos where the subjects move often and the continuous shooting is a must with no vibration.

this switch works as advertised. Very useful for eliminating camera vibration caused by a hand on the camera. Useful in macro photography and for long exposures.

I had this item previously, but it the switch on it broke and I had to replace it. This one works fine and I use it for releasing the shutter with the least vibration possible.
