Aftermarket Charger Will Not Charge Dell Laptop Battery

If you use a Sony charger with this Sony battery, the charge is absolutely 100%. Aftermarket batteries don't seem to be able to talk to the Sony charger, so they can't get a full charge.

I have the OEM & aftermarket batteries and chargers. What I've learned is the OEM charger with an OEM battery will fully charge 100% and you get a very long run time. If you use an aftermarket charger, you may or may not get full charge. I can't get a full charge at all with the off-brand charger. The same goes with an aftermarket battery. If your livelihood depends on getting the shot, get the factory (OEM) charger & battery.

I purchased this charger for my laptop because the 45W unit that came with the device was not keeping up with charging the battery and running the laptop. Also the connection did not seem to alway work. Prior to purchasing this unit I purchased a 3rd party 45W replacement but is was not keeping up with the power requirement to charge the battery and run the laptop, plus it took too long to just charge the battery. This unit does a great job of keeping up with the power requirements. I also like the longer length of the cord to reach a power source.

Good battery. I've found Snoy batteries to hold more charge (= more pictures) than aftermarket batteries.

Handy little charger--much better than trying to charge the battery in-camera.

It works well and it is really convenient to be able to charge the battery without a battery charger.

Love the way this charger indicates the progress of each battery charge!!!

I primarily use this to charge my dell laptop that uses a 90W USB-C, but I appreciate how it can charge any of the USB devices that I haul around. I was most impressed by the informative display that shows the amount and direction of energy flow through the ports. I also like the texture of the exterior material.
