I love the fact that I have an alan wrench always available. I attached this tool to one of the hooks on my photo backpack.

I once hated a heavy shoulder rig and the pain involved in using it. The rigs are just as heavy now, but the pain is gone. The Alan Gordon Enterprises Camera Comfort Cushion is the answer. Soft and pliable, and thick enough to cushion your shoulder.

We purchased this on a recommendation from B&H's own staffer, Alan, who has a lot of experience working with them. Our original choice was different and unpleasantly more expensive, so we asked Alan for some advice on what to do. Without hesitation he recommended the Prompter People solution. We used it a couple of days later to shoot an in-house commercial, and it worked like a charm. The PP software does take a bit of getting used to, and importing text could be a bit more intuitive, but this is a great product for a great value!

This engraved combo slate by Alan Gordon is a premium quality engraved white acrylic clapper slate for dry erase. Works just as good as the expensive one.

I'm not an expert on slates by any means, but I do know what it should be able to do. The Alan Gordon slate is easily the best I've used so far. It's lightweight, durable, and really well-made. It came in it's own zipper carrying case with an Expo brand dry erase marker. Unlike other, cheaper slates I've used, the clapper itself is made of very lightweight wood that gives it a really clean snap. It's nothing fancy, but it does simplicity well. I'd recommend this to anyone.

The alan wrench and flat-head are the two tools I need constantly when working - very convenient. Fits nicely on my keyring so I always have it handy.
