Alesis Nitro Mesh Kit Best Headphones

Excellent sounding amp for electronic drums. I have an Alesis Command set and the bass response from this amp is terrific. My only qualm is that you cannot use the headphone input to 'monitor' your playing, while mixed in with an iPhone, etc. - either the speaker is engaged OR the headphones, not both simultaneously. Therefore, I use a second monitor (which offers bluetooth) as the music source, then output that amp to the KAT - which inputs my headphones and drum module.

I purchase this pedal because I have an e-drum kit that consists of equipment from 3 different brands. I use V-Drum mesh pads with an Alesis DM10 brain, Pro Rack, and a Yamaha DTX550 module running to Hart cymbals. The response from the Yamaha HiHat trigger is better and SOUNDS better than the Alesis, so I needed the controler for the DTX550 to work properly.

B&H was very generous to include these phones with the Alesis Forge kit that I purchased from them. They fit firmly and do a great job of canceling (or blocking) noise from outside sources. When my wife walks by and says something to me, I have to stop and listen closely so as to hear what she is saying. At the same time, they make it possible to hear all the details and subtleties of the kits sounds and velocities without having to turn the volume up to damaging levels.

A lifelong drummer (percussion major) who wanted a good sounding kit to play at my home without blasting my wife or neighbors. For less than $400 base price (I bought the extension pack as well (+$99) this Alesis set delivers! I wanted an easy to set up, easy to understand features and options, compact kit for my upstairs studio. Extremely pleased with the sound quality and included kits and features. Even the provided kick pedal is excellent (I swapped out for a double Iron Cobra I already had). Still in wonderment, this quality at this price.
