Alienware 240Hz Monitor Freesync Best Buy

Comparing this to the Alienware AW3225QF (which I tested for 3 weeks before getting this monitor), I find the colors are effectively the same after you find the right settings that appeal to you. I initially had some text clarity issues, but this was solved by running the monitor at 240Hz. For whatever reason, a bunch of features are turned off by default, so you need to turn them on (e.g. OLEDcare, VRR, CEC). Another thing to keep in mind - when you switch to full-screen and back, the monitor will black out for a few seconds. This is normal and a function of Nvidia drivers, not the monitor. Another caveat, as this is OLED, you cannot calibrate this with standard monitor calibration gear (think SpyderX). After turning everything on and playing with all the presets, I was able to find the ones I liked for different media. The monitor is amazing. Great color, perfect blacks, I almost think it's blacker than my black monitor bezels... 240Hz is buttery. 5 |

Excellent Monitor. I upgraded from an Alienware 240hz 1080p to this one. Got recommended by Hardware Unbox on YouTube. This is my first 1440p monitor. Resolution is crisp. no dead pixels. and gotta love that IPS color quality. Great so far. Would recommend. 5 |

I can confidently say that this 32 4K QD-OLED Monitor is exceptional. The 240Hz refresh rate delivers an incredibly smooth experience that's hard to match. Its ultra-thin bezel enhances the viewing area, providing a clean and expansive display. The color reproduction on this monitor is truly stunning, offering rich and vibrant hues that captivate the eye. The deep, inky blacks further elevate the visual quality, and the glossy screen adds a touch of realism, making images pop. Considering its price point, this monitor offers unparalleled value. Additionally, the 3-year OLED burn-in warranty provides peace of mind, making it a standout choice in its category. Highly recommend! 5 |

I love this monitor! Even without out freesync etc. I think it performed better in the games I want to use it for (FPS) When I saw it didn’t have freesync I was a little concerned, but it performs incredibly. Color vibrancy really is nice once tuned. Dyac is nice but do note it does dim the screen quite a bit. I do think a 24’ is a lot better than a 27’ if your having problems deciding on your first monitor. Price point is perfect for a monitor with competitive capabilities! 5 |

Out of the box I was experiencing screen tearing, after enabling FreeSync from the monitor then on my AMD graphics card the picture quality improved dramatically. Works as advertised. 5 |

I was searching for a monitor to replace my aging HP ZR30w and wanted something similar in size but with much smaller bezels, true 4K resolution (1440p is too low for 32 IMHO), no-frills design, and FreeSync support, preferably with Low Framerate Compensation due to the 4K resolution. This monitor nails everything I was looking for and more. Not only does it have everything above, but it also has a fantastic stand (height/tilt/pivot/swivel), a hood you can optionally install to reduce glare, reduced blue-light mode to reduce eyestrain, and more. It also has little things like the ability to turn off the power-on LED and a great OSD design with full control. Oh, and it is perfectly calibrated from the factory to be considered a PRO monitor, it's primary use case which for me is just a bonus! Issues: Yes, it is not without quirks. One is a known issue when using a DisplayPort cable (which you must use to enable FreeSync) - basically, about once per day, the monitor will wink at you - blank out for about 1.5 seconds - and then come back on. Yes, this is weird, but since it only does it about once per day I can live with it, and I think a possible future firmware update might resolve it. It has a three-year warranty if it ever gets worse, so I will accept it given all the other virtues. The other flaw is related to long-term color bleeding at the edges that have been reported on this and other LG panels. I think it takes years for this to show up, and it isn't clear if it will affect all panels, but again with the warranty I'll take my chances - mine has zero bleed of any kind to my eyes. This monitor has an MSRP of over $1,000 which is high, and in the current market something around $750 is more appropriate, but at $569 is a tremendous value. There is a similar Dell for sale that is closer to $800 but does not have FreeSync! Go for this one! 5 |
