Alienware Laptop Slow After Warranty Expired

After my last Canon printer died one week after the original warranty expired, I purchased this extended warranty but hope I never have to call on it. But, it’s good knowing I have it—just in case.

Bought it before the standard Apple Warranty expired. Unfortunately, I had the MagSafe IO board replaced because the MagSafe was getting too hot (in excess of 95 degree F) and since it was still under warranty it did not cost me anything. This extended warranty gets you 2 extra years because who knows what other component needs replacing ... So, I highly recommend this in order to get some peace of mind in case it my MacBook Pro 'breaks' again.

After my laptop's regular adapter died, I purchased this one. To my relief, it came with a large number of plugs designed to fit different computers, and it ended up suiting my Lenovo just fine. This adapter actually felt like quite a step up from the computer's original adapter: the cord is long and it plugs into wall outlets that only allow for two prongs. The major disadvantage, in my view, is its weight -- a little heavier than I expected -- but that's a minor challenge. Best of all, though, is the customer service. The adapter stopped working twelve months and a few days after I purchased it... meaning that it was already past the product's one-year warranty. I almost didn't call the company. When I did call them, however, they treated me with extraordinary gentleness and generosity. They agreed to honor the warranty even though it had technically expired. So I mailed them back the old product, and within a few days, they had FedEx'd me a brand-new one. Now *that's* honorable service. Well done, Prudent Way.

I had another printer that died a few months after the warranty expired. Didn't really need color printing. I always had great success with Xerox lasers at work. the is printer works like a champ. Scans to my Mac without difficulty.

I recently purchased AppleCare from B&H just a few days before my 1-year warranty expired. I went back and forth on whether to purchase AppleCare, but I decided that it was worth the price for peace of mind given the anecdotal stories I've heard from friends about issues Macs develop over time. B&H offered the best price of any I found. I'm glad I did some searching and found B&H!

MacBooks are a great product, but from firsthand experience any repairs after the warranty has expired are very expensive. I now buy AppleCare for all my MacBooks for the extended coverage and the peace of mind that it anything happened my MacBook will still be covered up to 3 years.

I managed to get this on the day right before the original warranty expired. The price of AppleCare at B&H is the best. The AppleCare is essential for Apple laptops as anything can happen to them on the road. I benefited from the coverage for my Powerbooks and MBPs a lot in the past. Highly recommended. Get it before your original warranty would get expired!
