Alienware Monitor Tobii Eye Tracking

I use an old Apple monitor with a 720P webcam for chats. The camera is not in the middle of the frame- making me look like I'm not looking at the people. Yes- this camera on a tripod in front of my monitor blocks the people on screen- but the picture quality- the tracking of me- and reframing- makes for a superb eye to eye connection with my chat companions. So much better than anything else I've seen. The software works perfectly- I use AirPods for sound- and I have no need for 4k. I think this camera is discontinued. I've bought 2 when on Daily Deals- for about $60 ea - and think they are awesome. Only thing that I wish it could do is hook them up to my BlackMagicDesign ATEM Mini pro iso- without buying a very expensive USB-C to HDMI adapter- that would introduce a delay compared to my other cameras. It would be awesome if BMD bought OBSBOT and created some inexpensive HD Webcams that can go directly into their ATEM for down and dirty studio cameras- but- that's another discussion. Even my crankiest employee was impressed with the picture quality and tracking/reframing.

great upgrade. the eye tracking is awesome

I was thinking of getting myself an Ultra wide gaming monitor but always thought the 49" G9 was too big that's when Samsung released this with the same panel as in the Alienware OLED monitor that is getting rave reviews. The difference between this and the Alienware monitor is that this one comes with Samsung OS and is easy to connect to my other Samsung ecosystem products. This monitor is perfect to run Dex on or even can be used as a TV. The OLED panel is brilliant and the movies and games pop on it.

This arm is amazing! I purchased two different ones before this to support my new Alienware OLED monitor. Those arms could not support the weight even on the highest tension. This arm at half tension easily supports the weight. You can tell this one is made with a higher quality than any off brand product.

Comparing this to the Alienware AW3225QF (which I tested for 3 weeks before getting this monitor), I find the colors are effectively the same after you find the right settings that appeal to you. I initially had some text clarity issues, but this was solved by running the monitor at 240Hz. For whatever reason, a bunch of features are turned off by default, so you need to turn them on (e.g. OLEDcare, VRR, CEC). Another thing to keep in mind - when you switch to full-screen and back, the monitor will black out for a few seconds. This is normal and a function of Nvidia drivers, not the monitor. Another caveat, as this is OLED, you cannot calibrate this with standard monitor calibration gear (think SpyderX). After turning everything on and playing with all the presets, I was able to find the ones I liked for different media. The monitor is amazing. Great color, perfect blacks, I almost think it's blacker than my black monitor bezels... 240Hz is buttery.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] 34” G5 Odyssey Gaming Monitor replaced my Alienware 29 inch monitor, and I'm so glad that I did. The 34" G5 Odyssey has Deeper blacks and crisper picture than my old Alienware 25 gaming monitor. My games have never looked so good as on the 34"G5.

Absolutely stunning monitor, coming from an Alienware ultra wide 3440 to 4k QD-Oled. What a difference

Excellent Monitor. I upgraded from an Alienware 240hz 1080p to this one. Got recommended by Hardware Unbox on YouTube. This is my first 1440p monitor. Resolution is crisp. no dead pixels. and gotta love that IPS color quality. Great so far. Would recommend.

This is a great camera, but you should really take the time to adjust the control to your needs. I for example put the tracking function and AF area on the F1 and F2 buttons which for me is perfect, I can switch from tracking an object and tracking a face/eye at the push of a button (firmware 2.0). Finding and tracking the eye works very good, it was a revelation for me. Jpegs are wonderful, especially if you take the time to tailor the internal jpeg engine to your tastes. Nothing wrong to say about this camera, except it's not a D500 killer, which it is not supposed to be. The kit lenses are unusually sharp, never used kit lenses so sharp. All that's missing are some small Z DX prime lenses, not everyone is going to jump immediately to FF. Please Nikon, give us some Z DX primes, this camera more than deserves them. Theres so much to love about this lens. Its bokeh is creamy, autofocus and eye tracking mates well with my A7iii, and the lens is lite for all day shooting. This lens will be in my bag for portrait and city photography.
