2/3 of a stop is a good value for my needs. the full stop was too much and 1/3 not enough at all. 5 |

Much better than the previous inexpensive Impact version. The cord is three feet longer and the lock up on the tilt quite a bit better. Also it is now all metal and porcelain with a metal spacer that allows reflector to be mounted with the throat at two depths. I am mostly interested in Compact Florescent conversions and this is very good for that. The CFLs have heavy ballasts when large wattage and it puts a lot of strain on the locking mechanism. There is a 55 watt trumpet head bulb available which cranks out 3600 lumens at 5000 K. It fits nicely in the 12 inch reflector for this socket. With the spacer on the outside pushing the reflector forward the big bulb sticks out just a bit and the flattish spiraled out design of the trumpet format fills the reflector effectively. It gives a very broad light that is somewhat soft. 5 |

I will be using this for recording vocals, instruments (bass, trumpet, guitar, sax) and synth (strings, piano, etc.). Having tried it on synth samples thus far, it adds a mellowing and pleasing analog feel to the recording quality. Excellent manufacturing and presentation. 5 |

I am using this mic for a home recording studio, for live trumpet. The sound is great, and the mic isolates well from the rest of the room and can handle the directional decibels of the instrument. Solid construction and super sound. 5 |

Great microphone in good price. I usually use it for the trumpet, and it has a warm sound which is unusual for the condenser microphones in this price range. It also allow me to record little details such as articulations and dainamics. 5 |

Using this with a Shure 183 element in a marching band situation (Trumpet and Sax solos) and is working GREAT!! 5 |

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My high schooler who plays trumpet has been wanting to learn the drums. This was the perfect set for him to start learning and teaching himself! The price is reasonable and it’s not as loud as a real drum set. Would recommend for a beginner. He can try out different beats and combinations. It is available at several retailers. 5 |

This case suits my needs perfectly. I house my $ DPA trumpet mic in it and I feel very confident that it is well protected. I would have liked the handle have have a rubberized grip like some of the larger cases but that is just me being nit-picky. 5 |

I bought this mic to do Zoom music teaching. It works well for speaking and an acoustic instrument (trumpet.) My students noticed a marked improvement in sound over the internal MacBook pro mic, and the price is right. Plug and play was seamless, and it does everything as advertised. No nonsense, inexpensive and good quality in both build and functionality. 5 stars. 5 |
