Alternative Screen On Projector Mac

Anyone looking to extend there monitor onto a TV screen or projector this is the way to go.

Using this to decode an NDI source to a projector in Church services with live stream. We previously were sending the Presentation Laptops screen to the OBS computer via NDI, and used a separate proprietary wireless video feed to the main projector. Got this so we can use the same NDI source for both and eliminate the wireless projector feed. It is working well. One thing to be aware of: the projector will display will go blank in a couple of seconds if there is no video and audio activity when using NDI Screen Capture as the source. This can be an issue during power points with static screens. You can set the decoder to keep the last thing displayed on the screen or allow it to go blank. I prefer it to go blank so I know something is wrong right away. You can also resolve by making sure the NDI Screen Capture is using an active audio source (like the microphone). This decoder has been reliable and is reasonably priced. Perhaps other decoders won't have the inactivity issue but they are also more expensive. This has not been a show stopper for us.

This Mac mini was the perfect alternative than a full fledged Mac book I just didn’t need. I’m impressed with its speed and seamless productivity capabilities. I was only in the market for a home pc because my iPad was no longer supporting over the air software updates, yes I could’ve upgraded my iPad but I didn’t have a home pc that was sorely needed as well. This Mac mini solves all my problems and since I already had HD monitor and peripherals, it was perfect solution.

Just connected this new monitor to my new Apple Mac Mini M2Pro. It is amazing, a great alternative to the very expensive Apple display. After many hours of research I am very confident that I made the right decision in buying this monitor. Connected a certified 4k HDMI cable to the port plug it in and it was perfect from the start, Love the front controls and joystick for adjustments even though it did not require any out of the box.
