Aluminum Laminated Shim Stock Machining

I have a Benelli M2 which is not tapped for a scope. I read the previous reviews on the SpeedBead, but decided to give this a try anyway. So far, for my M2, this is a solid mount for the FF3. This mount just replaces the shim between the receiver and the stock. The shim has dowels that press tightly into both the receiver and the stock at the top and the bottom. They were tight going in, but pressed in nicely when I tightened down the bolt for the stock. Once in place, there is no difference between how the SpeedBead and the original shim fit between the receiver and the stock. The mount is tight against the receiver to the front of the mount and the stock to the rear. The SpeedBead & FF3 came w/additional mounting plates to adjust the height of the FF3. I did not need to add any additional height to mine though, the sight falls right in line w/my sight nicely. This package also came w/two sets of screws of different lengths, for use when adjusting the height. It also came w/the battery. And, it includes a protective/sun cover. The FF3 is easy to turn and adjust the red dot brightness and it automatically turns off after a period of time. As I use this system more, I will update my review to reflect my experience w/the SpeedBead mount and FF3 red dot sight.

Great machining, single piece of aluminum. It's also a standard 1'' ball so it will work with clamps from various other brands. I'm using mine with a Wooden Camera Ultra Arm Clamp. No issues.

And it fits in my 1/2 depth rack (with a shim, not supplied with switch).

Thorough and concise, sure beats trying to make your own, it’s laminated too, a big plus.

Since B&H doesn't have a photo for this product, I'll let you know that this is definitely the product you're looking for. Flat aluminum stock, 4'x4', baby pin on the end. What more do you need? I will admit the welds are a little ugly.

I should buy stock in the company! I now have three like this 1650NF to strap, cable and lock to the aluminum ladders attached to the ladder holders. The 1650NF is for our clothes, and back up stuff as the ole lady and I travel this great country on backroads and back alleys across America to see the family. Can't beat 'em with a stick, and I am not sure which, the family or the cases, I am talking about?

It adapts, what more do you want? Machining is decent, and the price is right.
