One of the great things about MOTU Symphonic Instruments is that it runs on G4 processor, and even on 256MB of RAM. Consequently, on the even the cheapest of the modern laptops (just like my 2MB Mac Air Intel i5) it works smoothly and loads all the instruments instantly. To me it's the best thing ever to run software release in 2006 on a 2012 computer, because it just runs great. And the sounds are simply breathtaking. Even the concert piano is mind blowing, really lending itself for classical piano playing in real time from my digital piano keyboard. And the price could not be better with B&H special discount offers. I took advantage of the discount, and I am a very happy camper now. Oh, and the authorization process with iLok is very good. I installed MOTU Symphonic Instruments on two computers, and to run it, I simply insert the iLok USB dongle, and voila. It's simply great.

I have been using Native Instruments Komplete Audio 6 for many years..sadly it failed. I viewed many potential replacements....one serious contender didn’t have a separate headphone volume control....unacceptable! I’ve been aware of Focusrite’s reputation and their Gen. 3 is garnering rave reviews. I was blown away. Immediately I noticed a bump in headroom. The overall sound was more defined across all frequency ranges. Setting up this item was a breeze in my DAW. N moments I was ready to work. I have only begun to use this but I am so pleased. I am also hugely pleased with B &H. Twice, in one month, they came thru. Prices beat out known music equipment vendor prices......shipping is ‘FAST’ . B & H doesn’t mess around. I purchased two Fives to use in my small home office. Streaming is through Amazon Music HD and I also use the line-in from my computer to watch online videos. Music was a big part of my life many years ago back in the 1970s and 80s. Then life got busy and music kinda went to the wayside. My wife also thought we could make better use of the space that was taken up by my large stereo system. So the Bose 601 series IV speakers, NAD stack, Dual 1229 turntable, and Teac CD player went into storage. I've listened to many songs through Amazon Music HD from my music era and think they sound great on the Fives. The convenience of high quality streaming can't be beat. It would be tough to go back to flipping vinyl again or using CDs. Although, I may fire up the old system someday just for old time sake and do a sound comparison. I'm no longer interested in listening to "loud and time to party like a rockstar" music. The Fives can certainly put out that type of power if that is your thing. I'm more interested in hearing the minor details and nuances within the music. The Fives do not disappoint in this area...especially after running Trueplay. Some recommended songs to highlight the Five's capabilities are: Guinnevere by Crosby, Stills & Nash; Diamonds on the Soles of her Shoes by Paul Simon; Barcelona Nights by Ottmar Liebert; and Peel me a Grape by Diana Krall. I'm very happy with the Fives and will be adding additional components going forward. Next purchase will most likely be another Five and then upgrade the sound on my 65" Sony TV. All my music streaming seamlessly with the Era 300 but by far the service offer by Amazon Music is really good with a lot of Atmos music and sound more light on the bass give this speaker the best sound compared to Tidal. This cart can hold everything I use, from music equipment and instruments to teaching supplies. It folds out or away easily and rolls with no effort at all. The cart fits perfectly in my car, even extended. It's a little workhorse. After struggling for years with handcarts, this 8 in 1 transporter is the answer to a prayer.

i used this product to listen to music. i like that the music is really clear and you can hear EVERYTHING that is being played. all the instruments are heard well separately and clearly. you never know what a song sounds like until you use these headphones and get to hear EVERY sound that is played. i don't like that the base is a little bit too much, at least for me. the fit is not as good the SE530s I used to have. I like them better than these to be honest. it is nice that the cables disconnect at the headphones itself. just in case the cable gets damaged you can always get a new one.

I bought this to grip instruments, with the intent of making interesting videos to highlight various music ventures of mine. Drums, mandolins, guitars- the clip works great and doesn't come off, even when dancing back and forth.

I switched to playing software instruments by midi at live music events but this is also perfect hot a DJ. I didn't need a full USB audio interface because I am not recording live audio. The box just takes digital audio via USB from my laptop, converts it to analog and sends it by ground lifted balanced outs to the PA. No noise, superb low latency with Ableton running NI plugins from a core2 duo MacBook.
