Bought two of these for the kids, they like them a lot. They had Amazon Tablet 8 series before, which were terribly slow. These are nice, fluid, and look sharp. Handles kids games nicely. I bought some off-brand apple pencils to accompany these and they work great.

I purchased two Fives to use in my small home office. Streaming is through Amazon Music HD and I also use the line-in from my computer to watch online videos. Music was a big part of my life many years ago back in the 1970s and 80s. Then life got busy and music kinda went to the wayside. My wife also thought we could make better use of the space that was taken up by my large stereo system. So the Bose 601 series IV speakers, NAD stack, Dual 1229 turntable, and Teac CD player went into storage. I've listened to many songs through Amazon Music HD from my music era and think they sound great on the Fives. The convenience of high quality streaming can't be beat. It would be tough to go back to flipping vinyl again or using CDs. Although, I may fire up the old system someday just for old time sake and do a sound comparison. I'm no longer interested in listening to "loud and time to party like a rockstar" music. The Fives can certainly put out that type of power if that is your thing. I'm more interested in hearing the minor details and nuances within the music. The Fives do not disappoint in this area...especially after running Trueplay. Some recommended songs to highlight the Five's capabilities are: Guinnevere by Crosby, Stills & Nash; Diamonds on the Soles of her Shoes by Paul Simon; Barcelona Nights by Ottmar Liebert; and Peel me a Grape by Diana Krall. I'm very happy with the Fives and will be adding additional components going forward. Next purchase will most likely be another Five and then upgrade the sound on my 65" Sony TV. Thank you Sonos for bringing high-quality music back into my life.

Use this on my LG 65" tv also to stream my Amazon hd music. Use Spotify as well. A really good buy. Gerry.

With this adapter, I can connect a powered USB hub to my tablet. This allows me to use my card reader and external HD with my tablet to back up photos while traveling.

8GB SDRAM is much better than 4GB in my DELL desktop computer.

First, 60W will probably meet your needs in a small video studio. I only use 2-8% of the output. Secondly, a standard modifier platform (Bowens' S mount), has saved me a great deal of time. The lower cost silent heads would only accept barndoors, gaffing tape and aluminum foil. Far Far easier to repurpose old modifiers or purchase new. Previously, I would have to retape the foil at inopportune times. SILENCE is critical for me. Recording a cast once correctly is worth all the post processing in the world. Nothing beats SILENCE.

It takes some getting used to. I always shoot it at EI 100. It has all the tonal range you need right there. It always requires underdevelopment though, anywhere from 8% -15%. The highlights blow out very easily, and this helps control them. Scratches easily, a bit softer than HP5. The lack of grain looks phenomenal at a large scale.

I just used the battery for the first time to shoot an 11 hour wedding day. I ran it down to 8% and it lasted me about 9.5 hours and around 2900 frames. They say it lasts 1350 or something like that but for me it was double.
