Amd 8 Core Desktop Computers

8GB SDRAM is much better than 4GB in my DELL desktop computer. 5 |

This 8-core monster is hiding toward the bottom of the current stack of AMD offerings. Excellent performance in gaming and productivity and just as snappy as you’d imagine. A good cooling solution will allow this thing to stretch its legs even more and give even more bang for the buck. Very happy with the purchase. 5 |

Passmark benchmarking my PC using the AMD Ryzen 9 5950X 3.4 GHz 16-Core AM4 Processor shows I am in the 99th percent range world wide for CPUs. 5 |

I purchased the 64-core AMD 5995WX Threadripper to process overlapping drone images to 2D models. Prior to this I was using a 12-core AMD 5900X. The 5900 processed 4 PIX4Dmapper jobs (running together) containing 1,900 files totaling 15GB in 5 hours and 45 minutes. The 64-core Threadripper completed the same job in 95 minutes. A Speed Demon... 5 |

I am happy as can be with this the upgrade from the 6700k to this AMD chip. Twice the single-core performance, and 6x multi-core performance. Adobe Bridge just about flies now when compared to the crawl it was doing previously. 5 |

The AMD Ryzen 5 5500 3.6 GHz Six-Core AM4 Processor is a stellar performer, effortlessly handling demanding tasks. Stays cool with little effort on my pc end but perfect balance between power and consumption. Got it for about 100, it delivers exceptional value, making it my top choice without breaking the bank. The Ryzen 5 5500 is a game-changer, redefining efficiency and power I am satisfied. (Combined with XFX RX 7800XT) 5 |

This chip is amazing. I replaced a Ryzen 2700x with this 5900x. And the difference was even bigger than I could imagine. On the same AMD wraith prism cooler, the 5900x runs 12 cores under load at a constant 4.5ghz, all while using only ~105 watts. In benchmarks these 12 zen 3 cores are often as fast and sometimes faster than my sister's water cooled 16 core 3950x. And yes, AMD's prices have been going up, but the 5900x is the best per core price in the lineup, as well as often the fastest in single/light threaded applications all with a huge amount of cores for your heavy workloads. I expect to keep this cpu for many many years as I currently struggle to max it out in any of my day to day workloads 5 |

Blazing fast. Best bang for buck Intel processor for under $250. I would take this over AMD 8 core any day. 5 |

AMD most powerful consumer processor. Zen 3 architecture, 16 Core with 32 Threads. I can open a lot of programs and build software fast, fast encoding video and streaming without a sweat. Day to day task, it's impossible to get this CPU 100% Just get a Ryzen 7 for gaming but for workstation, this is a must have! This thing a monster for Workloads, Very fast but very hot. Besure to get a beefy Cooler to cool down this Nuclear Reactor. Received the packaged in a very small box but tightly bubble-wrap inside. Surprisingly lightweight since it has no cooler included. 5 |

AMD Ryzen 1500B Quad Core Processor (2.2GHz) 2 x M2 NVME Cache slots 4 x USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports Expandable to 18 Drives with 2 x DX517 Up to 32 GB DDR4 memory (comes w/4 GB) I purchased this unit instead of buying 2x expansion units for my DS1621+ (including a 10G PCIe card it only cost $150 more than 2 x DX517s). Getting 700-800 MBs transfer rates from desktop M2 NVMEs (or from DS1621+) over 10G network to 8x12Tb RAID 5 in DS1821+. Now have more than enough storage capability. Also using to run Linux/Win 7/Win 10 Virtual Machines and centralized reception of email using Mail Station and Roundcube. 5 |
