Using the modeling light with the battery, just drains the battery faster. While, obviously, using the battery doesn't require any power cords, it's rather frustrating to be in the middle of a shoot and the battery dies. The AC adapter has a power cord, but I also don't worry about having to stop a shoot. Great for the studio! 5 |

While Nikon's products seem pricey to me, they are the quite reliable. This charger is relatively fast, given the charge it must put back into the battery, about two hours. Having used the one my camera came with for the past five years, I decided to get a backup for an upcoming trip. 5 |

This simple charger is the only one I will use for my Nikon ENEL-14A batteries. While a bit slow to charge, I feel that is because Nikon uses the best algorithm for properly charging the Lithium battery. This ensures maximum charge and battery life. I've used other brands and they just don't do a good job. 5 |
