Android Phone As Wireless Router

Wifi signal is very strong even in the furthest room from the router. No need for extenders or a mesh system.

I recently got the Epson WorkForce ES-500W II to try out. I was a little worried about the wireless feature but I ended up surprised with how well it worked for me despite being 2 rooms away. I was also very happy to use my Android phone to scan documents. The Android app was simple and easy to work with. I use this to provide backup power for my satellite internet, wireless router and VOIP phone system. Occasionally, it also powers my laptop and external LCD. Works great and has more than ample reserves. Functions out of the box with Apple Macs and seemlessly integrates with Energy Saver in OS X via the included USB cable. No Cons so far.

I have four of these, configured as access points. That means I have an ethernet cable connecting each to my router. It provides outstanding WiFi coverage to the rooms these are in. The 5G network in particular is crazy fast; I get 500+ mbps/s on my phone. I generally don't recommend extender mode, in which these units relay your phone's wireless signal to the router, via another wireless signal.
