Android Phone Battery Fire On 100 Degree Day
Pen | 2024-09-11 06:22:44 |
This more than met our needs for carry-on and shooting while day tripping in 100 degree NYC heat! Light weight and very packable in our small sling pack purse. P.S. and this is not a con: Wish it had a tether strap that screwed into the tripod opening like the bigger OP/Tech SLR style has. 5 |

This phone works perfectly, Googles software is much smoother than any other Android. Battery life isnt as great as the XL version obviously but the smaller version fits in your hand nicely. This phone is good for people who use their phone mildly/lightly and want industry leading photos (if youre a power user of apps/games theres samsungs and LGs with better specs). 5 |

My Moto g7 battery was failing and expanding in the case. The g7 came with Android 9 and was upgraded to Android 10. That is when I started having problems with Face-ID. The Moto g Power comes with Android 10 and Face-ID is no longer supported by Google. The touch-ID on the back works fine and is reliable. I ruined the g7 battery by keeping in plugged into a USB battery and stowing the phone in a motorcycle saddlebag or tank bag; it just got to hot, to often. The battery in this phone has enough capacity that I do not need and external battery. So far. no overheating problems. Otherwise, the phone works great, and Android 10 has some welcome changes. I use this phone on Verizon but may make a switch to Straight Talk. 5 |

Great phone with long lasting battery. Replaced my Moto G4+ with the G Power. Android 10 runs smooth but is somewhat different than Android 7 and took a little time to get used to it. Battery lasts at least twice as long than the G4+ even when it was new. A lot of good specs and features for a lower priced smartphone. Picture quality using each of the 3 back lenses and 1 front selfie is clear and colorful enough for my use. 5 |

Great to have a remote instead of using the phone and draining battery even more throughout the day. 5 |

1. The battery life is way better than the remote for my GoPro3 black. Not even close. I took it out yesterday ww kayaking in 38 degree temps with 45 degree water for 1.5hrs and it only dropped to 98%. Later same day I went bouldering for a couple hours in 43 degree temps and it dropped down to 97%. I was using it the whole time. No comparison to the og remote battery life. I have to charge that one after a few hours always. Was always frustrated with that even with the fantastic utility it provided. This one is much less aggravating to operate. 2. It does a better job staying connected to the camera than og. 3. Being able to digitally rotate the display is nice. I can tuck it under my wrist and not cock my head the side to use it. 4. GoPro has improved functional discovery of this device with, in general, a better UI overall. Downsides: After 2 uses I can't say a bad thing about. Its just a big improvement over the old one and does what it's supposed to. Most of the stuff I use it for is all day or multi-day use so this is just a huge impact for me. It was a pain at best and impossible frequently to charge it on the run. *tip: if you want to connect the camera to your phone to download media etc you have to power off the remote. 5 |
