While I can't attest to the unit's reliability yet, I can say the image shows up nicely on my Android phone, and aiming the camera using my phone is easy. I opted for a SanDisk Max Endurance microSDXC card due to the card's ability to function under high temperatures. The unit sits unseen behind my rearview mirror and within the 5 x 5 square permitted by California. 5 |

I bought this for use with Merlin Sound ID on my Android phone and it works well. While sitting outside having breakfast, I can pick up 10 different species. I only wish that the Merlin app would switch to landscape mode for better use while it's on the tripod in this kit. 5 |

Fast charging. Keeps the phone at a good viewing angle and holds it horizontally as well. The base should be a little heavier to keep it from moving when I grab the phone to use it. Also, the charging cable doesn’t fit tightly under the base. Those are minor issues and not deal breakers. 5 |
