Android Phone Stuck On Installing System Update

I was a little skeptical about this gimbal at first, but it's definitely a game-changer! First off, I normally shoot on a Sony A7Siii, so I don't use my phone often for camera shots, but thought this might be a cool tool to use while traveling or just experimenting with shooting different types of shots. Also, I had a lot of difficulties installing the firmware update. It was a frustrating process as it failed initially, but I was able to manually install it via my Mac. I imagine this is otherwise a pretty seamless process. Okay, with the software issue out of the way, let's talk about the hardware. Compared to other brand camera gimbals I've used, this was by far the easiest to use. The ZY Cami app can be used to control the camera gimbal, but also makes it easy to film cool shots with their templates. The gimbal is super steady while walking, and there is even a run mode that I tried out. It worked really well. I wasn't able to use it too low to the ground while walking, but there might be some ways to do it which I haven't discovered yet. I've only played around with this for a few hours, but I have to say I'm very impressed so far. The combo pack included a pouch, a wrist strap, and a 1-year Zyiyun Prime membership card. I would recommend this to a new or filmmaker looking to up their game without breaking the bank, or an experienced pro looking to capture some creative b-roll shots they might otherwise not be able to capture. At the very least, it's a super fun camera gimbal! Setting up was easy with an iPhone but not so much with an android phone. The system is fairly comfortable with the current head straps maybe the additional ones at the additional cost will be more comfortable and create a better balance.

The Genie One operates at about half or less of the volume (motor noise) of the original Genie. I had a VERY difficult time connecting to a brand new iPhone 12 to do the firmware upgrade and was about to give up and return it to B&H. I was able to update both of my 1st generation Genie Mini on the first try. The Syrp website suggests using an Android phone. I live in an all Apple household, and I was going to borrow a friend's Android, but tried one last thing. I have a 1st generation iPad Mini, and tried loading the newest version of the Syrp app onto it. That worked, so I tried connecting the Genie One, and voila, the iPad downloaded the update and loaded it onto the Genie One on the first try. There are some very nice upgrades to the app and device and all are compatible with the 1st generation Genie Minis that I have for pan/tilt. All in all a great system, but there were big hiccups on the firmware updates.
