From what I can tell the recording is great. I am an animation major so I need to record sound effects and voices all the time. It has proven to be a remarkable product, especially for the price. The downside: It is big and heavy. Which is not technically a bad thing. However it is difficult to transport and I don't think it can be attached to most microphone stands. I recommend that you leave it in one spot and if you want to travel or you need a mic on a boom/stand, get a lighter microphone. 5 |

Used it to record a musical that had voices staged centered and in the wings. The shotgun zoom and 90 degree setting were great for centered voices, and the 120 degree setting handled the voices in the wings beautifully. It really cuts down most of the ambient sounds. Haven't used the wind screen yet - but it's nice to have it when I need it. Great value for the price. 5 |

One of the best quality mics for the price range, I even used it to record voices in off with a great sound. It completely worth the money. The mic construction is in metal so it feels a durable invest, the shock mount base is made in plastic but does its function very well. I would add a shoe mount adapter to attach it to different rigs. For me one of the best Rode products... well done. 5 |

Essential to have if you want to record quality audio on your Iphone or Android smartphone. Just plug the black end into your Rode mic, the gray end into your smartphone and hit record. Great audio will follow. 5 |

Eureka, Android smartphone (through Samsung S5 at least) finally now accept iRig Mic Lav as an external microphone to record sound DURING video shooting. It is a great news. Love the opportunity to record 2 source of microphone at the same time. 5 |
