Android Tablet As Live View For Dslr

2024-07-12 07:35:33

As a first-timer in the DSLR world, this camera is amazing. You don't really have to learn much more than you would with a point-and-shoot...you just change the dial to take a pic at night, indoors, outdoors, etc. Not much to it really - and it's light enough to carry around wherever you go. The only two downsides I've found is in low-light conditions, like dusk...you sometimes have to play around with the options (night, low-light, etc.) to find the setting that takes the best picture. The other is with the live-view, it's a much slower focus than viewing through the lens, but you're probably taking more photos looking through the lens than you are the live-view, so this might be a moot point. This being my first DSLR, I probably just don't know enough about the settings to choose the right one. Overall, it's a great camera (video is superb too) and would definitely recommend it.

This is my first DSLR purchase as up until now there wasn't a camera that was close enough to doing exactly what I expected if I was going to make the leap. The K-x fills this void quite nicely. I looking for live view, HD video, body image stabilization, AA batteries, etc. but now I also get great high-ISO performance and access to the world's largest selection of lenses. My first prime lens just arrived from auction purchase (50mm f/1.7). I also prefer the AA battery format as it has insured that I was able to capture some important moments in the past (features don't matter when you're away from home and your proprietary battery dies). Make sure to update the firmware (fixes battery life concern) as I have had GREAT battery performance on my Sanyo Eneloop rechargeables (I highly recommend them for use in cameras). Only possible complaint I would have is that the live view is not as useful as the Fuji SLR-like point and shoot I'm replacing since it slows down the auto focus and shooting performance. I have already learned to live with this and have gained a better understanding of why more serious photographers usually use the viewfinder anyway (better pictures).Overall, very pleased with the camera, the price, the kit lenses (although I think I will be eventually getting the 55-300mm zoom to replace 50-200mm...

After my 2'nd Samsung Tablet (in 5 years) broke, I decided to give Apple a try. This is my first apple product. I've always been a windows (pc) and Android ( tablet/phone) user, so when I needed a new tablet, I figured I'd give apple a try. $329.00 is cheap to try the apple eco system.... IOS seems a bit more restrictive than Android (maybe that's a learning curve ?)... but, so far, I am very impressed. From a user interface/usability standpoint, it is much more enjoyable to use than my Samsung (Android) tablet, albeit the Samsung was 3 years old. Very seemless integration with my Microsoft One Drive Cloud storage/MS office products. Got the apple pencil as well.... Why not ! I'll probably always stay with Windows OS for a pc, but may take a bite of the apple when I get a new pbone...

I bought an Android tablet, put a hard plastic case around it, glued a quick-release plate to the case, and I use this arm to mount the tablet to my rig for use as a field monitor. The arm is much stronger than I expected it to be. I bought it because I'm broke and I figured that for this price, it wouldn't break me if it didn't hold... But it does hold... It easily holds the weight of a Google Nexus 10, its case, and the Manfrotto RC2 quick-release. I can hot-show mount it on my 5D2 or mount it anywhere I can find a 1/4-20 hole. So, I'm psyched that I made the buy.
