Wide angle full frame lenses have been in short supply when running a k1. I have a 15-30 (tamron branded Pentax) and some older k glass. I was really excited as well as anxious to buy this 21mm 2.4 limited lens last week-end. The only one in stock so nothing on display. Immediately did one of my favourite walks across the Manhattan Bridge to Dumbo and back over the Brooklyn in a hard clear December New York light then later in the evening on 5th Avenue. Imagers were alive, tack sharp and honest to the subject. Smaller lighter and tighter than the 15-30 and 28-70.along the lines of the 50* but more compact. Takes a circular filter even with the fixe lend hood. Now my go-to walk around in tall cities. Worth the money for sure. 5 |
