Anti Shake Digital Camera

The CB Digital-S is a well designed and machined aluminum bracket with a strong, but easy to operate spring-loaded rotating arm allowing rapid switching from landscape to portrait orientation. The anti-rotate stop pins on the base-plate have a limited adjustment range so may not function properly on some smaller cameras, but if it fits your camera body, it will do the job. I use it to hold Lume Cube for front-fill lighting and have replaced the flash cold-shoe with a small 1/4-20 ball joint to allow quick positioning of the lamp. Works perfectly for thid application. I've use it with large DSLRs and lately with the Mirrorless EOS R and EOS RP which is as small a camera as will work with the anti-rotate pins 5 |

I purchased this mostly for use in astronomy where the IS would help obtain a steady view to prevent dancing stars. It works very well, and I spent a while on the first night viewing the Andromeda galaxy. Switching the anti-shake on and off makes a tremendous difference steadying the view. I was expecting good optics too for the price, and stars are indeed pinpoints to the very edge. The wide apparent angle of view of 65 degrees is another bonus. Before purchasing these, I already owned 7 pairs of binoculars from small, lightweight travel models to 10x50s previously used for astronomy. The Canon 10x42 IS binoculars immediately earned a top spot in the collection. The only drawback is their weight and size. As you might expect, the IS mechanism and batteries to run it add to the heft. Still, the anti-shake and quality optics solve so many issues that I'd buy them again. It's not that much heavier than my existing 10x50s anyway. 5 |

This is an excellent all purpose lens. It is sharp at all focal lengths and the anti-shake works great. The size is good and it is mechanically excellent. Bokeh is very good and construction is excellent. It comes with a lens shade. I would recommend it to a friend. Seems to have more trouble focusing on distant items, seeks a little - especially in wind, than on those less than 25 feet. All in all an excellent lens. 5 |

This provides amazing sharpness wide open, with delicious bokeh and some correctable color fringing. Note that besides being manual-focus, the lens doesn't have automatic aperture or a chip. On regular DSLRs, this is means you're focusing at whatever aperture you've chosen, and you get neither focus confirmation nor anti-shake. But on Sony's SLT series, the lack of automatic aperture means nothing, and you still get focus confirmation in the viewfinder. The remaining drawback is that the body's anti-shake function doesn't activate. 5 |

Pictures are sharp at full zoom. Definitely need a tripod when fully zoomed, as the anti shake in the camera can't fully compensate. Takes nice pictures indoors as well. 5 |
