This is another great surge protector from APC. It is a simple 8-outlet protector with a respectable joule surge rating. I count on APC units to protect all of my electronic equipment. It's hard to review a surge protector without having it go through a surge in a thunderstorm or power outage. However, this APC protector had more joules than a very expensive one that I purchased for my entertainment system 7 years ago and doesn't buzz like the Monster surge protector did, which is why I replaced it. The APC P8VNTG Power Saving Surge Protector is a great product, potentially impacted by inferior quality. The product itself is attractive, well, as attractive as a power strip can really be. The black design melds into most home theater decors. I personally like the blue LED lighting, but they are VERY bright. So if you don't have the power strip hidden behind something, the light may be distracting.

This Surge Protector is the perfect size for behind my TV. I love that it has an outlet on top and botton for my bigger plugs and also the end outlet can accommodate a bigger longer plug as well. The last surge protector I had did not have them and my bigger plugs would cover up multiple oulets.
