Apc 1500 Battery Backup

My APC 1500 surge protector with battery backup went defective. Self check test showed battery failure. Rather than replacing the entire expensive backup, I merely ordered this #124 replacement battery and replaced the original one for allot less cost. It now works good as new. Simply, side the old battery out and slide in the new one and that's it. I did not know replacement APC batteries were available until re-reading the APC instructions and by APC web site research.

I use a total of four APC ups units. Three are small and one is a 1500. I usually buy new (trade-in) for the small 350 units, but it is far more cost effective to replace the battery in the 1500. The recycle option is appreciated and works. Unlike the other reviews I just read, I am completely satisfied with the last two replacement batteries. This most recent one arrived 100% charged and installed providing full capability and showing twenty minutes battery time remaining. Since I have a full backup generator in the event of power failure, I need only 30-40 seconds power backup from the ups, but the battery and surge protection provided has saved me more times than I can count. I live in NW Florida, one of the lightening centers of the country.

This is the third consecutive APC Power Back-up 1500 I have purchased and have been pleased with them all. The current Backup-UPS Pro 1500, with its digital display makes it easy to monitor voltage and usage. Installation was a snap.

This is replacement battery for my old APC Back-UPS RS 1500 (cream-colored body, been since discontinued by mfr). The unit power was cut off intermittently. I wasn't sure how to diagnose the problem, took a chance & just replace the old 4 year battery, & new battery seems to take care of the problem. Only APC (not generic) batteries give me peace of mind that they will work as intended.

My APC RS-1500 has proven to be a must during a few events, thunder storm and others. Battery needed to be replaced. Online order, quick delivery, back to safety! :-)

Ordered and replaced a battery for my APC XS-1500. Install was a snap and the unit is as good as new. Printed out the return UPS form and there is not any disposal to worry about. Couldn't be easier!

While always a good product, APC has made real improvements in the 1500 VA line of backup power units. The trade-up option is a great way to update when battery replacement time comes due for an older unit. Spending only a little more than a fresh battery to get a new modernized unit is good for the customer and the planet. The reduced weight and form factor as well as the enhanced diagnostics are tangible upgrades to a comparable-load product. Nicely done!

I needed to get a replacement for my APC xs 1500. I bought it when I was living in Toronto, CA. There were many black outs during the summer months. So in 2010 I bought this unit. The battery started to go bad around 2016. I did not open the battery compartment until mid 2017. One of the batteries began to leak and swell up. White crust had compromised the casing. Had problems pulling the batteries out because they were expanding. I was going to do just a battery remove and replace after seeing the videos. Then I saw these direct OEM replacements here and B&H. Fast and secure shipping(as always from these folks.) Once I opened the box with the new batteries, swapped old for new. Works like day one. Thanks B&H!!!!

My APC Backup unit told me through the main unit that it had a low battery for the backup unit by a red lit signal that went off every 4 seconds. I had to replace the battery to stop the beeping. When it arrived, it was well packed and had a return label for the waste disposal of the old battery. The installation of the new battery was not as difficult as getting the old battery out of the unit - it was a very tight fit. Now that it is installed, the beeping stopped and life is back to normal. YEAH!
