Apc Battery Backup 650 Surge Protector

My APC 1500 surge protector with battery backup went defective. Self check test showed battery failure. Rather than replacing the entire expensive backup, I merely ordered this #124 replacement battery and replaced the original one for allot less cost. It now works good as new. Simply, side the old battery out and slide in the new one and that's it. I did not know replacement APC batteries were available until re-reading the APC instructions and by APC web site research.

This is the best battery backup/surge protector I've ever owned. APC seems to thought of everything you could want to know or do with this machine and provided it in a very easy to understand, easy to use way. It is worth the money.

I bought this unit not for it's surge protection. I already have a small APC battery backup for that. What I needed was a way to plug my 5 USB backup drives wall-wart transformers into the 2 outlet ups. This product makes it possible with it's widely placed plugs. Excellent design.

This is a good looking and and solid APC. While on, it glows green on the front. It's quite small for a battery backup which I like, it fits well under a desk without being obnoxisouly big. It has a 3ft cable and feels very sturdy. It only has 4 regular grounded electrical plugs on the back, but all of them are surge protected and on battery backup. The amount of time the battery will last depends on how power heavy the things you have plugged into it are. It also includes 2 USB charging ports and an ethernet port in/out for surge protection on your network cable if needed. Note that this battery is not huge, it's not meant to support a full gaming computer through an extended outage. Plug in only the things that are mission critical and shut them down if you lose power. There is software (PC Only) you can install to see your current power usage and approximate battery life. I run a small business and I use this in my home office, and this suits my needs as a good surge protector and keeps my router and modem from rebooting through quick power outages.

Replaced my 10+ years old battery inside my surge protector and power backup APC unit. It works great. Primarily helps keep my internet modem running during power outages. Just needed a fresh battery in it and I'm sure it'll keep running another 10 years. Reliable product that does its job. And I don't even have to think about it. Great product!

I had a different unit that served as a surge protector and battery backup for my security cameras. After a few years, the other units battery became faulty and it constantly beeped. It had a rather unique battery that was quite costly. I searched around and found this current unit from BH and it was just what I needed at a much better value. Not only did I get a better product, but I also got it for a better value than just replacing a battery on an older unit. I had been reading reviews from BH and I'm able to say that everything I read was true concerning outstanding service and faster than expected arrival times of products ordered. I am very pleased with this company and I shared their website with another friend who also has a surge protector and battery backup for his security cameras. This unit is Compact, and also has a digital readout. It is also aesthetically appealing to the eyes. If I ever need another product like this, BH is definitely the place that I will get it from. Purchased my 2nd APC Surge protector and they work good

We started out by buying a APC surge protector for our computer. It worked great so we purchased another for our entertainment center with a lot of expensive equipment plugged into it. We had electrical storms & never lost any equipment. Support for help is excellent. We will always use APC surge protectors.

Our IT guy at work recommended APC as THE surge protector to buy. I've been a Monster Cable guy for some time but took his advice for my new high end stereo and was immediately impressed by the APC unit. It protects anything that you could hook up to a mega sound system including your cable and Ethernet. Very well constructed and sleek black color is easy to stow behind the gear to go unnoticed. I strongly recommend.

This APC surge protector has all the right connections to protect your input TV cable, telephone/FAX line, and more than ample number of AC  outlets to connect and surge protect all your electronic products such as TV, DVD player, computer, etc., along with a great warranty from APC, a trusted manufacturer whos  been in the surge protection business for years.  All 5 of my surge protectors in my home are from APC.
