Apc Surge Protector With Coax

We had a Non-APC vendor power surge protecting our outside cable coax line and a network cable coming into our house from the outside (my husband does astrophotography in the backyard and needs network connectivity better than wireless.) Well lightning struck the back of our yard and took out BOTH the coax and Cat5e network cable, long with very piece of IT gear we had. It took 2 weeks to get us back up and running with Comcast. I'm hoping this does better. We are using both the network and coax surge protectors and most of the plugs. We are crossing our fingers.

I'm impressed with the surge protector's overall quality. The COAX surge protector didn't negatively affect my antenna signal at all; picture is still awesome! I use these all around the house as an economical surge protector that I can rely on, wherever I don't need the additional coax or network lines protected as well. The design of the supressor is such that you can use up to three bulky transformers without blocking the use of the other outlets, since two of the outlets are provided on the side. Additionally, it has a rating of 2160J, which is plenty of protection for me for most applications. After having an issue with a lightning strike, I spent a lot of time researching reviews of products and customer feedback to get a feel for which companies actually stood behind their products. Tripp-Lite was the only one I felt I could trust.

Purchased my 2nd APC Surge protector and they work good

My APC 1500 surge protector with battery backup went defective. Self check test showed battery failure. Rather than replacing the entire expensive backup, I merely ordered this #124 replacement battery and replaced the original one for allot less cost. It now works good as new. Simply, side the old battery out and slide in the new one and that's it. I did not know replacement APC batteries were available until re-reading the APC instructions and by APC web site research.

We started out by buying a APC surge protector for our computer. It worked great so we purchased another for our entertainment center with a lot of expensive equipment plugged into it. We had electrical storms & never lost any equipment. Support for help is excellent. We will always use APC surge protectors.

I've been a Monster Cable guy for some time but took his advice for my new high end stereo and was immediately impressed by the APC unit. It protects anything that you could hook up to a mega sound system including your cable and Ethernet. Very well constructed and sleek black color is easy to stow behind the gear to go unnoticed. This is the best battery backup/surge protector I've ever owned. APC seems to thought of everything you could want to know or do with this machine and provided it in a very easy to understand, easy to use way. It is worth the money.

This APC surge protector has all the right connections to protect your input TV cable, telephone/FAX line, and more than ample number of AC  outlets to connect and surge protect all your electronic products such as TV, DVD player, computer, etc., along with a great warranty from APC, a trusted manufacturer whos  been in the surge protection business for years.  All 5 of my surge protectors in my home are from APC.

Honestly, how do you test a surge protector without putting equipment at risk? I've owned a few APC products and they have never let me down so I'm sort of trusting this one will work without fault too.
