Apc Ups And Surge Protector

Purchased my 2nd APC Surge protector and they work good

APC has been the leader in UPS power. The BR 1000VA is very well designed and extremely easy to setup. Knowing which outlets are surge protected and battery back-up up is easy, one side is battery, the other is surge only. Although it is a medium size UPS, it has 10 Outlets which 6 are battery back-up. This is very efficient for todays desktop and laptop users. I use it to power my home model/router and printer along with all the necessary accessories attached to my desktop. Highly recommend this product to anyone looking to protect their computers and home electronic devices. Lightweight and easy to storage. Detailed direction included on how to use the product. Very satisfied!

I have had numerous APC Back-UPS before and they keep improving. Not only does this one have 9 outlets (6 power + 3 surge only), it has two usb charging ports. I have not had a power failure yet, but when there is one, I am confident that this piece of technology will help for at least a short period of time.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This unit replaced an APC Back-UPS RS, which is a fine enough unit but this one is even better! I especially love the LED display that tells me so much more info about the status of the system, including the connected load. I can now easily see which connected components are creating the load. I also like that surge protection for co-ax has been added, so I can protect my cable modem connection. I was disappointed to find that surge protection for a phone line has been dropped -- some places we deal with still ask that we communicate by fax! I've not used it long enough to test the surge protection and battery backup capabilities, but I've been using APC power protection products, including various generations of UPS's, for over 20 years and have confidence this one will perform as well on that score as it's older cousins always have.

My APC 1500 surge protector with battery backup went defective. Self check test showed battery failure. Rather than replacing the entire expensive backup, I merely ordered this #124 replacement battery and replaced the original one for allot less cost. It now works good as new. Simply, side the old battery out and slide in the new one and that's it. I did not know replacement APC batteries were available until re-reading the APC instructions and by APC web site research.

We started out by buying a APC surge protector for our computer. It worked great so we purchased another for our entertainment center with a lot of expensive equipment plugged into it. We had electrical storms & never lost any equipment. Support for help is excellent. We will always use APC surge protectors.

Our IT guy at work recommended APC as THE surge protector to buy. I've been a Monster Cable guy for some time but took his advice for my new high end stereo and was immediately impressed by the APC unit. It protects anything that you could hook up to a mega sound system including your cable and Ethernet. Very well constructed and sleek black color is easy to stow behind the gear to go unnoticed. I strongly recommend.

This is the best battery backup/surge protector I've ever owned. APC seems to thought of everything you could want to know or do with this machine and provided it in a very easy to understand, easy to use way. It is worth the money.

This APC surge protector has all the right connections to protect your input TV cable, telephone/FAX line, and more than ample number of AC  outlets to connect and surge protect all your electronic products such as TV, DVD player, computer, etc., along with a great warranty from APC, a trusted manufacturer whos  been in the surge protection business for years.  All 5 of my surge protectors in my home are from APC.

Honestly, how do you test a surge protector without putting equipment at risk? I've owned a few APC products and they have never let me down so I'm sort of trusting this one will work without fault too.
