Apc Ups Control Software

I was concerned ordering a 60 pound UPS. The last one I received last year arrived in shambles. The styrofoam casing was in a thousand pieces and the LCD screen was busted. Not B&H's fault. All UPS providers have flimsy boxes. This was slightly better than before. The shipping box was torn in several places. I expected a demolished UPS. However the UPS was an indestructable solid hunk of metal. APC even had a solid metal box screwed on top of the screen to protect it. So the box didn't survive but the UPS was fine. It is a bit noisy but all online UPS's are noisy. I just put it in the adjoining room and ran a long power cable. Problem solved. The power chute software is poor. APC has never had decent software. Fortunately, I don't need it. I will find something 3rd party. Bottom line. This is a wonderful UPS, solidly built, like a tank. As always B&H is great. I ordered overnight and it was late. They refunded the shipping costs automatically. B&H is the best. They stand behind what they sell.

When the battery on my UPS began tosing to me I went to the APC site and used their software to select a replacement battery and then order the battery. So So Simple!! the battery arrived with instructions and it was a simple slip out and Slip in. They even paid to send the dead battery back to a disposal site. What wonderful customer care and service!!!!

My APC Gaming UPS started to fail to carry any load during power outages. I had just reimaged my PC and had not reinstalled the APC PowerChute software. After installing the software it confirmed the battery needed to be replaced. I checked the warranty on the UPS but it expired a year ago. I started shopping for a replacement battery and decided to spend the extra $20 to get an authentic APC battery. It was the same price everywhere but B&H offered free shipping and said they had it in stock. Amazon was quoting over a month to deliver. B&H was true to their word and I had the battery in two days. Installed and all is well. Thanks B&H.

I own two of this model of UPS. I use one under software control to protect my computer from summer time fluctuations and to ensure an orderly shutdown during power outages. The other one is used without the software to operate my garage door opener, when there is a complete power outage. I have found the hardware reliable and even this smaller model provides sufficient capacity for these personal use tasks.

Price at B&H was worth the money to me for my APC UPS.
