If you have USB 2 drives on your older computer then stay with PNY 64 GB Flash Drives. They work and are FAT 32 formated. No Problems with these Flash Drives. I tried 128 GB Flash Drives that were suppose to work on USB 2 thru USB 3. My first file copied to them and the memory crashed and burned. I ordered the PNY 64 GB USB 2 and they are excellent. Smaller GB but always work. 5 |

A stack of internal and external drives...Indexing and copying them is much faster with USB C than with my original USB 3. Double dock allows USB C speeds between drives. Tested...Fast, but the true teSt is whether it will be working in 8 years. Hope so. 5 |

Perfect for connecting USB-A devices (keyboards, external hard drives, etc.) to a device that only has USB-C! 5 |

Powers all my external devices, even those flash thumb drives that require extra power. 5 |

I picked up 2 of these to fast-track some projects and I never want to use my old drives now. They're super responsive, formatted in APFS so I could use them right away, and I love how they look and feel. No notes. 5 |

I've been using these Western Digital USB 3 external hard drives for many years now. I've only ever had one fail out of a dozen or so, but that's why I always have two backups of everything. I now edit on an internal SSD, and then transfer two copies of the files to these drives. I've used the 4, 8, and 12 gig versions. Note that I previously used the GRaid drives to edit on. I also had one of them fail out of 5, and since they are Raid 0 (the fastest), you lose everything when they fail. I think out of 20 years of editing, I've only every had those 2 drives fail. 5 |

For what it is, it works great but what makes this stand out from other external disk drives is how Asus modernized it. Not exactly a humongous feat to behold but nice that Asus took the time to do so. My last portable one used a splitter and required 2 USB A ports (one for power, one for data) but my new Asus Flow Z13 only has 1 and the rest are USB C. Enter this guy and it just works. Looks great and easy to use. 5 |

I added this adapter card to my 4 y/o HP desktop to gain USB 3.0 capability. I found it easy to install and also purchased with it and installed a StarTech 4 Pin Molex to SATA Power Cable Adapter (6) from B+H, although not necessary to run my two USB 3.0 external hard drives. But for $ why not get the power cable in the event you need to power a device that needs the extra juice? I have not tested any actual transfer speeds; however, I do notice a much, much faster transfer rate when I back up the data on my computer's C: drive to the external hard drives. I also intend to use another of the card's USB 3.0 ports to attach a USB 3.0 SDXC/CF card reader. Instructions for installation of the driver on the accompanying CD was easy. 5 |
