[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I liked the original Canon IVY Mini Photo Printer a lot and this second generation is even better! It is not only very portable and even lighter, but also it is less slippery because of the upgraded plastic cover that is not glossy anymore and has textured bottom cover. It also got even smaller in size than before and now even smaller than any of our phones! Canon IVY 2 Mini Photo Printer comes with USB-C charging cable and 10 sheets of sticky back photo paper. Keep in mind that you will have to supply your own charging block for the cable, but if you have it already for any of your phones then you will have no problem just charging it with that. The battery on the new generation printer is much better also, holds longer and charges even faster. The printing times are also faster now and the quality of images is just as good as before. The set up and installation were super easy and fast, simply turn on, connect and add via Bluetooth the printer to the Canon Mini Print app. The app is user friendly and straightforward to use. The app is also a full photo editor so you can do all kinds of effects and manipulations with your photos before printing them out. It still needs no ink and paper comes in different shapes and has a sticky back so you can stick it on any surface you want and personalize a lot of items with your pictures. Great idea for a gift not only the printer itself, but also any items you can personalize with the printed images coming out of that printer. Perfect for the Holiday season! 5 |

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Awesome wireless printer! Signed up for the app, and was able to print some digital receipts for my grandparents. Even set up the printer in like 20 minutes for them, it was super easy and the instructions were clear! 5 |

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This printer was really easy to set up and the app and wireless connection were really simple. Even my dad who is not tech savvy can figure out how to use it on his own. The machine takes different types and sizes of paper which is really convenient. 5 |

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just bought the HP Deskjet 2855e. Love the wireless connectivity from the smartphone which was an easy setup thru HP smart app. The HP smart app makes life easy setting up wireless printing. The print quality for the money of this printer is good. This is a great family printer we are about to go on vacation and it took about 5 minutes to setup wireless printing. Our family just loves this printer. Also the travel bingo cards we were printing out the speed of the printer was great and was able to print these out fast. 5 |

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like my new HP Deskjet especially because it's wireless my old all-in-one printer was great and all but I couldn't print stuff from my phone so I'm excited now with this desk jet I have the opportunity to use the app and print directly through my phone. The printer setup took maybe 5 minutes and downloading the app was super easy a 5 year old could do it. It's awesome that it came with 3 months of ink and you can get another 3 months of ink free with a subscription. All in all I'm very happy with this printer and glad that I now have a wireless all in one printer. It prints fast and the quality of the colors are vivid so I would definitely recommend it. 5 |

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wireless feature is great for this printer and the app works well. I use primarily for shipping labels, and this performs great for that. This would work well for name badges as well. Doesn’t bind, clear print. Overall very useful. 5 |

I bought this printer for travel to replace my Fujifilm Instax SP-2 printer. I've used the Instax system for several years, but the new airport CT Scanners have been shown to fog film in a single pass (Kodak posted an advisory on Facebook to that effect). The Selphy printer system is not effected by the scanners. (Of course due to Covid-19, all my travel was cancelled anyway ...) Pros: (1) It works well. The prints are slightly better than I get from my Selphy. (2) The prints are thinner than the Selphy prints, and they come with a light adhesive on them. This works great if you keep a written journal of your travels, with prints pasted onto the pages. (3) It's rechargeable, and easy to use. (4) The prints are cheaper than the Fujifilm Instax Square prints (which are directly comparable to the Canon QX-10, but slightly more expensive than the smaller Instax credit card size prints (from the SP-2). (5) The Canon App is easy to use (but see the cons). Cons: (1) The printer comes with a trial pack capable of making only 3 prints! Initially, the printer supplies weren't even available. They are available now, but not as easy to find as the Instax prints. I assume this will change. (2) The battery is good for about 20 pictures; the battery on the SP-2 lasts much longer. (3) The Canon App is very basic - it can adjust the size of the print, and add some text, but it doesn't have any editing functions. It just selects the central part of your picture, so I use the iPhone Photos App to edit and crop before I use the picture. (4) You can't print directly to the printer from your camera. This only effects people using Fujifilm cameras. 5 |

My previous Zink printer was the Polaroid ZIP printer. It was a fine printer that was involved in many fun memories and moments. However, the connection to a smartphone could be finicky at times and it kind of killed the spontaneity of wanting to get printouts fast while in the moment. Plus, the app made it quite difficult to predict the color output of the photos. This Canon camera printer solved all that. It too can be paired with a smartphone to act as a printer. However, the app is much better than the Polaroid one. The other benefit is this can act as a standalone camera/printer. It has a framing box (both in the front of the camera for selfies and in the viewfinder) so its easier to frame what you want to take a picture of. It does have LEDs to light up subjects. I do find the shutter button to be a little too easy to take photos. A couple times, I accidentally took a photo even when I was just grabbing the camera or giving it to someone. Battery life is much better than my Polaroid was. However, I did notice at a party when I wanted to print a bunch of printers, the Canon did require a cooling period sooner than the Polaroid when I was printing a lot of pics (though this may be because the Canon app makes it more convenient to print photos faster while I had to prep photos in the Polaroid app). White balance can be an issue with using the Canon as a standalone camera with pictures leaning toward being very cool (though to be fair, some of my testing was in an office with bad fluorescent lighting). So if you want more precise colors, use it as a printer with a smartphone. 5 |

The setup of the printer itself was really fast, whether on PC or Mobile. I was impressed with that part because in past experiences I've had issues with some apps not connecting with the intended printer. This, however, was a lightning-fast set-up. For my phone, I downloaded the "Canon Print" app from the Google Play Store and it was set up in minutes for using the compact printer. The options are easy to use, no second guessing or issues with the app's reliability thus far. I do love the accessibility and ease of using the Canon Print app on my phone, it's great. The printer is lightweight and easy to place anywhere in the house. The controls are straightforward, no technical issues with that at all. The scanner is fast, and the quality of the images is what I expected. Happy with the ease of use. I've printed some black and white forms needed for insurance and they were legible, no smearing, no issues with unclean prints. I would say the general printing quality is just above average. As for photographs, I feel it's just above average in quality as well. We've printed a few photos on regular paper (non-glossy) to get a feel for its color and quality and it's pretty good! I'd imagine on glossy it would be even better. Everyone in our household approves of this printer. 5 |
