I needed a strong signal in my attached garage to control my garage door with the myQ app. This extender was easy to setup using the Tether app. Plugged into an electrical outlet inside the house, in a hallway adjacent to the garage, and there was a four-bar wifi signal in the garage. A cable this long will usually need a little regeneration boost but this cable is so well isolated, we skated by without having to boost the signal.
