Apple 2015 Macbook Pro Ssd M2

This was a nice upgrade from a 2015 MacBook Pro, the M2 chip a significant improvement. Took advantage of the B&H sale price plus B&H offered trade-in $ where Apple offered zilch, great deal! 5 |

I purchased the unit for my early 2015 Macbook Pro 13-inch along with Sintech NGFF M.2 nVME SSD Adapter Card. I am happy to report that the SSD is working well. I am running Catalina Version 10.15.4. The system report detects the NVMe nature of the SSD as well. Someone interested in purchasing this item should note that you will not get the full read/write speeds of 3430MB/s Read and 2600MB/s Write. I am getting approx 1322MB/s Read and 1224MB/s write speed. This is mainly due to the PCIe 2.0 bus in most of the 2015 Macbook Pro machines (Both 13 and 15) not by the limitation of the SSD. I made the purchase despite this limitation because it provides about 25 to 30% performance boost over the stock SSD. I chose WD Black over Samsung EVO because of price. Both are wonderful and comparable products so price was the decision factor. 5 |

I replaced my MacBook Pro 15 Mid-2015/512GB SSD/16GB RAM/AMD M370X 2GB Graphics with this one. At the beginning, I was afraid I would miss all the specs of the old one, but I've been loving it ever since. Even with 8 apps opened at the same time and a bunch of tasks to do, it has proven fast enough, extremely worthy of its price and the battery is great for daily average to intense use. I would recommend it for most of the people, specially college students. 5 |

The Apple 14 MacBook Pro with M2 Max processor has been fantastic so far. Nice keyboard and sound, sharp display, quick and long battery life. Compared to my old Macbook Pro 13 with an Intel processor, this machine runs circles around it and doesn't even need to be plugged into power to do it. I was a bit worried about compatibility with the ARM based processor and some of my software but everything I use has worked either natively or with Rosetta 2 which has been seamless. 5 |

The new Apple 16 MacBook Pro (M3 Max, Space Black) is the fastest MacBook Pro yet with the M3 Max setup. I went with 64 GB Memory and 2 TB Storage. The new Space Black is very cool as well. This new MacBook replaces my 1-1/2 year old M2 Max with same memory and storage. I would have to run benchmarks to tell the difference. The M2 Max was also blazing fast. 5 |

I’m running this beautiful monitor from a 2023 MacBook Pro, with the Apple M2 Pro chip, and couldn’t be happier. Installation was simplicity itself. It is positioned at a ninety-degree angle to a very large east-facing window, and the standard glass performs brilliantly for me, without glare or annoying reflections. The Nano Texture glass would have been an unnecessary expenditure in this particular situation. My order was filled within hours, and arrived overnight with free shipping. Perfect. 5 |

Just got this for my wife for Christmas, and she and I are very happy with this MacBook, which replaces a 2015 MacBook Air. The M2 is super-fast and has a beautiful display. Could not be any happier. 5 |

I'm using this inside of my mid 2015 MacBook Pro with an NVMe to Apple SSD adapter, and it's working very well. It's very fast, definitely faster than the stock Apple SSD, and with its large capacity and high endurance rating, I expect it to last quite a long time. This is a double sided M2 drive, so the larger version of the NVMe to Apple SSD drive adapter (with its larger PCB) does not fit this drive properly, but the smaller adapter (which is basically just a short connector) fits a MacBook Pro really well. For normal uses outside of a MacBook, this is a standard size double sided M2 drive, so these odd details are probably of no consequence to anyone else, but I thought I'd mention it anyway. I've been very happy with the FireCuda 520 drives in the past, and the 530 is just as nice, and even faster. I can't wait until the 4TB versions become more available and more affordable. Totally happy with this drive! 5 |
