I have an iMac from late 2009 and by bluetooth was not totally compatible with the Magic Track Pad 2. Before ordering the trackpad I researched on the internet, spoke to people at Apple and B&H. What I got was varying opinions. What I concluded was that I should spend the extra money. When they arrived I paired by trackpad to my iMac without the adapter. It worked initially. But when the iMac went to sleep, the pairing was lost. I hooked up the adapter and since then the trackpad and iMac are happily paired. One last comment. Since I bought from B&H and live out of New York State, there was no sales tax. That combined with the lower price for the trackpad at B&H, I saved money versus driving to the closet Apple Store. Bought a MacBook Pro with USB-C ports and no vieeo output. Bought with it the Apple USB-C to HDMI adapter to drive my 4K TV that I use as a montor. The Apple product was total garbage with intermittent operation, tearing of the image, and useless to do work on. Since then I tried multiple other USB-C to HDMI adapters to run the TV in 4K resolution with similar results (although the worst what the one I bought at the Apple store.) This adapter works perfectly. Rock solid image at full 4K resolution. I highly recommend it to anyone that wants a 4K monitor for a very low price to work with their MacBook Pro that has the USB-C ports only. (The 4K TV is 55 inch which I bought for about $350 at Walmart on sale.) 5 |

I was having some issues with my Apple TV displaying the full screen from my iPad on certain sites. This adapter took care of that issue. I also like that you can have it plugged into a charger if running low on battery while using it. 5 |

You may want to consider a Bluetooth adapter for your headphones rather than this. They are harder to loose and more convenient. 5 |
