Apple Cf Card Reader Macbook Pro

So, after switching out everything from Win10 to my MacBook Pro, I'm heading out to the field and need a way to get my SD card images into my MBP. Since the MBP does not have an SD card reader, I just knew Apple would have a dongle for this, I mean really (!?). And so they do. No problems with it to date which I expect with Apple products. Just wish they'd have included an SD card reader slot into the machine.

I use this card reader with the new M1 MacBook Pro, and it does the job without any issues!

I have this for my MacBook Pro 13. I have an external monitor, card reader, three external drives and for a while an ethernet cable to my router connected to it and everything works flawlessly.

This allowed me to connect a Sony XQD card reader to my MacBook Pro and download photos from a Nikon Z6. Works great!

Transfers at about 195 mbs for me and my MacBook Pro card reader which is also rated UHS-ii is over 200. Same file transferred in 15 seconds on Mac reader and 18 seconds on ProGrade. Works great and I am happy with it.

I was unhappy with the USB-C SD card reader I have for my 2019 MacBook Pro and wanted something more reliable. I saw another photographer review this and thought 'what the heck'. It was on sale at a decent price. I really only needed the card reader but got so much more. I was surprised how small it is. And it gives me both of my USB-C ports back in addition to the 2 card reader slots and the 2 USB slots. It has a little bit of 'wiggle' and I could wish it felt more secure in the laptop's side but it's not been an issue. I am not rough on gear and won't stress it's connection. I like the small light on one end that shows it's connected and my cards pop up immediately on my desktop. The USB-C plugs work perfect. I haven't had it long but so far at home and on the first trip out of town it was just right.

This is a reliable, and durable (metal) card reader - it works on both my new Macbook pro USB-C and my older Imacwith the USB wire. Also it has all the standard card options - I mostly use SD & CF - I know wit has others but I rarely will use them. The card port cover will keep this clean while in my laptop or camera bag. Not much else to say except the price is right and the size is potable! Highly recothis reader

Although I had an SD card reader for my iPad and older Macbook Pro, now we have Type-C so had to purchase a new card reader. Simple device, easy to travel with, does its job. Faster than connecting the camera directly to the laptop.

Works fine with my MacBook Pro, Retina, Mid 2012 laptop through a USB A port. Computer recognizes it within seconds - Faster than my old Lexar XQD reader. Using a Nikon Z7 II and the latest Sony 120GB XQD G card - 440r MB/s 400w MB/s. Big RAW files, JPEGS and .mov files move from card to MacBook with ease. The supplied USB C to USB A cable fits into the reader with a positive snap. Ejecting takes less than a second.

Works great. I used this to plug the new SanDisk ImageMate PRO card reader into my older MacBook Pro as it only has USB type-A ports, and the new reader carries a Type-C connection.
