Apple Compatible Solar Bluetooth Keyboard

I'm not sure how I could get so revved-up about a qwerty keyboard but the K750 Wireless Solar keyboard is really something to get excited about! The key response is very fast and very accurate. It has just the right amount of throw (or should I say: depth of throw) so that when I'm entering logins and passwords at lightning speed, I'm confident that the correct sequence of key strokes will register correctly. There's also just the right amount of click sound to confirm each strike. Visually, this keyboard has a stylish, Mac-like look. It's also very thin, but at the same time, quite heavy which allows it to stay in a firm, stable position while I'm typing on my glass desktop. My previous Logitech keyboard had Bluetooth wireless and even though I liked that keyboard a lot, it would get a bit squirrelly at times when a keystroke would suddenly go off on an unstoppable/repeating frenetic frenzy. With the K750, Logitech abandons Bluetooth and transmits using a more stable 2.4 GHz wireless frequency system. The pice de rsistance of course, is that it's solar powered and doesn't require batteries! One interesting note: The solar panels on the keyboard are located on the top left and right and there are seven on each side. Just for fun, I shut off the lights (at night) and put a concentrated LED flashlight beam about four inches above each of the fourteen cells. What I noticed is that only the center cell of each group of seven activated the LUX 'gas gauge' on the solar app pop-up. Good, now I know I can put random post-its and business cards on the top of the keyboard knowing to leaving room for the center cell #4 on each side to receive sunlight!

I've had this keyboard less than a month. It was a replacement for my standard bluetooth Apple keyboard, which unfortunately became inoperable after one of my cats vomited on it. That lovely story aside, the Logitech K750 has so far succeeded in living up to its design features, the major ones being its wirelessness, solar power, and its onboard number pad, (in that combination) and the minor features including its sleek profile and quiet buttons whose action resembles that of the Apple keyboards we have come to love and respect (except for their combination of the aforementioned design features). If Apple really had it 100% together, a wireless, solar-powered, numpad-inclusive keyboard would be a standard option with its desktops. For now, this keyboard should be a default substitution for the savvy user. One negative point: I do worry a little about the use of plastic in the exoskeleton of the keyboard. I am noticing it beginning to warp a little near the spacebar, and generally I prefer metals to plastics on my electronics.

Great Apple compatible keyboard. The feel of the keys is different than the comparable Apple keyboards, but it is much livelier. I learned to type back in the day of the IBM Selectrics and this has a similar feel, not mushy. It's very easy to pair with multiple devices. Liked this one so much, purchased another in Space Gray.

Authentic Apple short keyboard which we are using as a wired keyboard not the bluetooth option. It would be cool if it included the powered USB outlets the older wired keyboard had, but, this keyboard is perfect for my wife at her standing desk where she has less space for the full size keyboard with numberpad which she never uses. Fast service as always.

I can't believe it too me this long to realize I've been handicapped by the Apple bluetooth keyboard all these years. The Daskeyboard too about four minutes to get used to before I started writing with greater efficiency than I imagined possible. I'm impressed with the materials, the build and the promise, delivered. The cost is well worth it.

If you're debating this keyboard, I recommend it. Here are some minor benefits I've enjoyed: - Backlit keys when color grading in a dark room - Sturdy and doesn't slide on the desk - Bluetooth and wired work seamlessly The surprise benefit is that this keyboard works in Bluetooth mode to enter my password after a complete shutdown and power-up. None of the other non-Apple Bluetooth keyboards I own will do this. They work after a RESTART but not on POWER-UP. I was very impressed that they got this right. NOTE: The following was true when I wrote this review on September 5, 2024. This might sound very nitpicky, but the insert card that came with a keyboard directed me to the following website: Logickeyboard.com/shortcut There is no guide for FCPX. I emailed to inquire about this and was sent a link to the Apple website containing the 900+ page user manual. The shortcut guide is more of a nice to have, but I thought I would call it out anyway.

This product works great for it's intended purpose. By using a detached keyboard (I use Apple's bluetooth) it sits like a regular PC monitor. I would recommend it to anyone.

I would expect nothing less from Apple. The key stroke is solid and behaves just like my regular Apple keyboard. The bluetooth works perfectly. Love this key board.

Other than not having the touch ID function that Apple's Bluetooth keyboard offers, Satechi does an immaculate job. Even Apple's magic keyboard doesnt have backlit keys, like this one! It's recommend it in a heartbeat over the other one. Well built!

I've used this for just 2 weeks, but it's the perfect replacement for my Apple wireless keyboard. It's virtually identical except it lies flatter on my desk since it obviously doesn't have the battery compartment (they did include optional sticky rubber pads to tilt the keyboard forward). I replaced my old wireless keyboard since I bought the new 2020 M1 Mac Mini and immediately had the bluetooth issues others have complained about. Weirdly enough, I could solve my keyboard issue by turning my Apple mouse off and on, but it got annoying. Right now, this wired keyboard is perfect, buttons all work as they should, choices of backlighting or not, controls sound levels as well as all the other functions I'm accustomed to using. Plus, no cost of feeding AA batteries to the wireless. Time will tell, but right now, I am satisfied, even if Apple finally does resolve their bluetooth issue.
