Apple Computational Photography

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It is very lightweight (under 3 lbs) so easy to carry on flights, but still has the computational power I need.

Perfect. Now my new Dell desktop computer is supped up to do the heavy duty computational work that is needed.

Everything you expect from an Apple computer. Looks fantastic, and handles everything you throw at it. I run my photography business from my computer, and this laptop is an integral part to my workflow. Only downside is the lack of ports, but that's easily remedied by picking up a USB hub. The M1 chip is great. Previous generations of the MacBook Pro, the fans usually start yelling once you open Lightroom or Photoshop for any period of time. Not the case anymore.

I did a lot of searching for a new monitor to pair w/ a new Apple Studio. The Apple monitor they would like you to use w/ this is very expensive. I do a lot of photography processing and need something less than Apple, yet still has calibrated colors. I am shocked at how nice this ViewSonic is! 4K with Adobe/SRGB color calibration. The 32 is even more useful than expected and the price is great.

I've ordered various photography products B&H over the years, and have always been impressed. Therefore, it was an easy choice when I learned that they carried Apple products for home use. I bought a Mac Book Pro Retina display with Apple Care included for a price that no one locally could touch. No downside as they are an authorized Apple reseller so you don't have to worry about issues down the road with gray market goods, etc. In any case, I ordered it on a Monday and received it Thursday. It was packaged perfectly and exactly as described. The person who took my order over the phone was knowledgeable and efficient. A great experience. As far as the Mac Book, it rocks! I'm very familiar with Apple products, so I knew exactly what I was looking for. To me, it is the obvious choice over a Mac Book Air, particularly given the small cost difference. The display is considerably better, and the machine itself offers greater functionality in general. I won't go into one of those exhaustive self-appointed pro reviews. Take a look at the many resources online that have already done that work for me. Apple makes great stuff, period.

Definitely a MUST have if you plan to do any Photography, Videography, or even ENG! Any Full Apple box is a must-have on any set to be used for any application. And if you don't know which brand of Apple boxes to go for.....I can honestly say that Matthews is the way to go. They are just built so well! May be a little more on the pricier side, but so worth it!
