These things work great, and last a good 5 years with no issues. As the cork hardens you have to tighten them a little more often. 5 |

Just put a thin cork plate on top and you won’t have any issues more. It will hold flash firmly. Cork is soft and strong. Gitzo use it on their tripod mounting plates. 5 |

I use this on my PentaconSix to mount on Acratech ballhead. It works as it should without any problems. The cork surface holds up while tightening the screw so that the plate doesn't rotate as you put it on the camera. 5 |
