At the current B&H price this computer is an excellent value. I am especially impressed with the silence of this computer which is an important consideration when doing audio processing. I use this Mac Pro as a home computer but do some video editing and encoding. I replaced a very fast G5 but this Mac Pro's encoding times are just a fraction of the time my G5 took to encode. Managing my picture and music libraries also take just a fraction of the time. With 2 young kids I just don't have the time to tinker around on PC's anymore. This thing does exactly what I need it to do in minimal time. More time to spend with the kids. ...

I recently bought a used iMac and it was still under it's 1-year warranty, so I opted for the extra protection of AppleCare. This is the second iMac I have owned. The first was an iMac G5. First off, this was a great computer and I used it A LOT the first three years while doing freelance design work while in school. In that time, which was thankfully covered by AppleCare, I had the power supply unit replaced, the SuperDrive go bad, and then a hard drive die. AppleCare made the replacements and repairs quick and easy. I used it for nearly 6 years before it finally died on me (the dreaded G5 bulging capacitors, eek!), and had to wait several months before I could afford another. Knowing no computer is invincible, I get AppleCare just in case. It covers such a range of hardware troubles that the extra cash is worth the time and money saved in the event of problems. Not only is it a good value, but the AppleCare reps are friendly and helpful. Don't skimp on this -- buy it straight away when you get a new Mac. Even if you get a used Mac and it is still in it's first year, it is eligible for AppleCare, so don't leave B&H without it in your cart.

Really if you ever buy an Apple computer, the AppleCare is a must-have. B&H offers the product at a lower price than Apple and Best Buy, so it's a win-win. The product helps care for an expensive piece of equipment, my MacBook Air, and really if something is going to go wrong I like knowing that I have the ability to go to the best for care for the next three years either by phone or in person.

The computer itself is great - Powerful enough to handle our daily programming duties (including multiple Vagrant boxes). The best part was B&H - Best Buy, Amazon, and even Apple's own store were backlogged for the particular model we needed... B&H had it in stock and 1 day delivery. It arrived in 1 day, well packaged, and exactly what was expected. Not to mention, the price was discounted - Yet the product is brand new.. To get a discounted price on Apple, you have to get refurbished. Forego that, go with B&H.

I bought an iMac as a gift for my daughter. B&H offered a better price than the official Apple store. The computer was delivered in 1 day. It was my first purchase from this store and definitely not the last. Recommend.
