Apple Headphone Adapter Not Supported

If you use the apple headphone adapter, you can also use it with iPhone X

A must-have to connect to your iPhone 7, 8, & X. In my case my 6-month old Apple Lightning to headphone adapter didn't work; once I replaced it with a new one this Rode cable worked properly. BONUS: Check out the Rode SC6 to add a headphone output to the input chain!

Every once in a while you are still going to need a headphone jack adapter for music or a mic.

Obviously not official size for an apple, but for all the other unofficial things you use one for, this is great. I'm a big guy and it supported my weight no problem. Wouldn't feel comfortable asking talent to stand on it, but works well.

Got this before realizing there was an adapter that featured the lightning headphone adapter and charging ... but this is useful too!

A bit pricey but overall very worth it, you will need to research which lenses cover the gfx sensor and some have different levels of vignetting and af performance but once the lens is in the supported list you get access to in camera adapter mount adjustment menu to clean up the corners a bit. Also you can't use lens IS/OIS and ibis at the same time but ibis works very very well, allowing you to hand hold the canon 300mm lenses to below 1/60sec easily. The AF speed is something to note, it is surprisingly fast with supported lenses and more so if you have a PDAF supporting camera, the lenses perform like a native GFX lens vignetting aside. If the lens isn't on the list performance is variable, it will work but a very poor performance. But it's not perfect and one wish was that they could have included weather sealing on the adapter to at least keep the weather sealed L glass still weather sealed.

This adapter will be 100% supported on of the box starting with linux kernel 6.4 I believe. However if you have a fairly recent 6.x kernel it will work as long as you execute the 2 following commands after each reboot: 1) modprobe mt7921u 2) echo 0846 9060 /sys/bus/usb/drivers/mt7921u/new_id It works great for me on both my fedora distribution PC and my raspberry 4. Best wifi adapter I ever used. very fast and strong signal.

Worked perfectly from the get-go and was way less than the Apple version of this adapter.
