The HAUC Active Stereo Headphone Control Box by Whirlwind fits the bill perfectly for studio headphone control. Easily mounted under the desk, it is a solid piece of gear. In my studio, I have several headphone locations branching off a multi-headphone amp. Using the HAUC, i am able to give each user a choice of 3.5 mm and 1/4 jacks, and full volume control. Installation was a breeze with four screws. At my news-talk table, I have daisy-chained three thanks to the dual jacks in the back, and each still has its own volume control. Well made and works perfectly with my Galaxy S5 phone and headphones. The phone's headphone connector is a headphone and mic connector. By using this splitter I can now listen with my headphones in full stereo. 5 |

Used on a Canon 60D using the +20db switch and adjusting the volume manually in camera. The mic picked up voices excellently while keeping the background noise where it needs to be - in the background. Overall great sounding mic when placed closer to the person being filmed, don't have any complaints thus far. Major kudos to B&H for free shipping during the holidays!!!! 5 |
