Apple Imac G5 17 Inch Desktop Computer

I love Apple...everything is so easy when setting up the tablet. I have an iMac desktop computer but rarely need to use it because my tablet does just about everything I need to do on line. I love B&H....they process orders quickly and do not charge for shipping. I have nothing but good things to say about B&H. Thank you B&H for being a superior company.

A total step up from my 2020 iMac 27 inch desktop computer. The M2 Pro Mini is easy to set up and compact enough to fit on my desk. It's sleek in design and very fast!

I recently bought a used iMac and it was still under it's 1-year warranty, so I opted for the extra protection of AppleCare. This is the second iMac I have owned. The first was an iMac G5. First off, this was a great computer and I used it A LOT the first three years while doing freelance design work while in school. In that time, which was thankfully covered by AppleCare, I had the power supply unit replaced, the SuperDrive go bad, and then a hard drive die. AppleCare made the replacements and repairs quick and easy. I used it for nearly 6 years before it finally died on me (the dreaded G5 bulging capacitors, eek!), and had to wait several months before I could afford another. Knowing no computer is invincible, I get AppleCare just in case. It covers such a range of hardware troubles that the extra cash is worth the time and money saved in the event of problems. Not only is it a good value, but the AppleCare reps are friendly and helpful. Don't skimp on this -- buy it straight away when you get a new Mac. Even if you get a used Mac and it is still in it's first year, it is eligible for AppleCare, so don't leave B&H without it in your cart.

I recently upgraded my 2017 Mac Desktop with an Apple 24 iMac with M3 Chip (Blue). I am very happy with this model. It runs incredibly smooth and the transfer of all of my data and settings was flawless. I highly recommend this Apple Desktop model.

With Apple releasing its new iMac desktop they decided on NO card reader for us photographers as in previous models. With new thunderbolt connections vs. USB I needed a hub for my external drives as well. One chat with B&H they turned me on to this guy. Works seamlessly.

Use: 2017 apple iMac 27 inch. Increase memory from the standard 8 gb to 40 gb. Easy installation in the 27inch (open panel to memory cache, insert into memory slots, close panel). Recognized immediately by apple. Works fine. Much less expensive than buying memory pre-installed by Apple.

This iMac 24-inch replaced a late-2014 iMac 27-inch that we bought from B&H almost exactly seven years ago. My wife used that one to create digital art, and it was just time to get a faster machine to keep up with the software advances. The 24-inch screen has not been much of a sacrifice versus the 27-inch. One benefit is that the smaller screen requires less eye movement side to side, which significantly reduces eye fatigue. The pixel density is about the same as the larger 5k screen. No PC offers this quality of screen except Apple. The M1 is much, much faster with Corel Painter than the older machine (as one would expect). The sound system is very good. The only complaint is that Apple makes the worst keyboards. The Magic keyboard that comes with this iMac feels flimsy and junky. Instead, we plugged in a 9-year-old USB Apple keyboard, and it is much, much better. I would say that, if you buy an iMac, prepare to buy an aftermarket keyboard for about $100.
