Apple Ipad 2 Adapter For Mic Headphones

This is essentially the same cable apple includes with an iPhone and iPad. If you're going to use it to charge and iPhone or iPad, make sure you have a USB adapter you can plug into an outlet. It's MFI certified which is certification for compatibility with Apple products. The cable is a little less flexible than Apple's cable. This might be due to a thicker and sturdier outer jacket which would make this cable a little more durable than the Apple cable.

Fine..I use it to substitute the way too short Apple adapter for the lightning connection on my iphone and ipad.

Never would I have thought that I'd need an adapter for my iPad AND my MBP, but it has come to that. Luckily, I found these beauties that just slip on to the existing Apple power bricks. That, along with other adapters I have will do nicely on my upcoming trip.

I was having some issues with my Apple TV displaying the full screen from my iPad on certain sites. This adapter took care of that issue. I also like that you can have it plugged into a charger if running low on battery while using it.

I also ordered Apple Lightning to SD Card Camera Reader, which allows me to put an SD card from point and shoot Canon, Kodak, and Panasonic cameras in so I can import photos easily onto my iPad. Apple Lightning to USB 3.0 Type-A Camera Adapter allows me to add small Thumbdrives / Flashdrives to add storage. In truth the Apple Lightning to USB 3.0 Type-A Camera Adapter is currently unnecessary for me, as I just deleted whatever I don't need on the iPad. There is enough native storage for basic Apps, editing, and writing!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Full disclosure: I was sent this product to review it. Honestly, it works great for its intended purpose. I was able to charge my phone and connect Lightning headphones at the same time. I didn't notice any difference in sound quality between plugging the headphones into this product or plugging them straight into my iPhone. They also work perfectly with the 3.5 mm to Lightning adapter provided by Apple with my phone. The RockStar feels sturdy and uses Apple's signature look well. If it weren't for the Belkin logo on the Lightning plug, this could easily have been mistaken for something made by Apple. It also couldn't be simpler to use. Plug it into the iPhone and plug your headphones and power cord into either available port. There are only two things I could think of to make this product better. First would have been to have one port be a 3.5 mm jack. I only have the one pair of lightning headphones Apple provided and the adapter. I have a pile of old headphones though. My second thought would have been, if you have two Lightning ports on the adapter, let it be used to plug in two sets of headphones to act as a splitter. This may be a limitation set by Apple and not the product itself, but it would add a level of use to the RockStar. If you use Lightning headphones or 3.5 mm headphones with a Lightning adapter, this is a great product to be able to listen to music while you charge your phone. Personally, I use Bluetooth about 99.9% of the time, but I'm glad I have this product for those times I can't.

First off, let me say I'm still not pleased with Apple for removing the 1/8 jack for headphones, but I understand why they did it to have better enclosed housing for the newer gen phones. With that being said, I've used 3rd party knock-offs of this adapter and to put it politely, they are s#@t. Just pay what Apple wants for this adapter and save yourself a lot of headache down the road, even tho it really is overly priced.

If you thought Apple spent time and money on your built in microphone then think again. This mic makes everything we record on the ipad sound professional. It is weird to here the playback and notice such a difference. Given the price paid for this mic....definitely a value added component for you budding podcasters.

Everybody knows that apple ipad is well THE APPLE iPAD. No surprises. It took me several hours to get used to the new swipe and lack of old home button. Got extra annoyed with the lack of choices for cases and swore when I couldn't use my old gen 1 apple pen. Blah blah blah. . . The most important thing in the whole ipad purchase is how much I love b&h. As you are getting bigger, don’t lose the personal touch!

The adapter works great with Sony MDR-ZX110AP headphones w/inline mic.
