Apple Laptop Keyboard Replacement Macbook Pro

Loved my 2012 MacBook Pro, I really stressed over a replacement - initially ordered 2018 MB Air from B&H which arrived damaged and did re-think. It did feel like a hasty compromise when I ordered the MBA. I thought about how I used my 2012 MBP - mostly in one location and plugged into an outlet. The intrigue of the Mac Mini bit and stuck. I wanted BT 5.0 and that wasn't MADE available by Apple at the time. I liked the specs 3.0 chip, 256 GB etc and paired with Apple keyboard and mouse due to review complaints about connectivity with both devices. If there was an issue I would deliver all to the local Apple store and they could sort it out. I was really perplexed by Apple butterfly keyboard mechanism issues on their labtop line and their 4 year extended keyboard warranty from product introduction will roll around quickly. So Mac Mini with it's compromises (quiet speaker volume, no FaceTime camera or microphone) was decided and the last hurdle was finding a smaller display so I did not accidently knock it over. There are essentially 2 decent quality 14-16 5 |

I really like the Apple Magic Keyboard for my use and purposes. The weight of the keyboard is more substantial than I had been led to believe, which is nice. It instantly connects to my Macbook Pro vie bluetooth, and the internal battery lasts quite a long while (after two weeks it still had over 50% of power left). I'm used to only using the keyboard on my Macbook Pro, so the Magic Keyboard is a very familiar piece of hardware for me. 5 |

It's an Apple laptop. It is built well and the keyboard is nicer than her previous 7 year old MacBook. These things seem to last forever and I always feel like I get my money's worth with their products. The display is beautiful and the bezel around the perimeter is very small. You know you want it so just buy it. Her last MacBook lasted her 7 years and it is still going, she just wanted a new one. That's how well these things are built. 5 |

If you have an Apple chip laptop (I own a MacBook Air M1 2020), and you use an external screen (yes, a 2012 Apple Thunderbolt 27 monitor), then this keyboard is a must. I will never get used to the more compact keyboards without the numeric keypad and extra buttons, but most importantly this keyboard has a magic fingerprint sensor identical to the one on your laptop, so you can close the laptop-that-never-heats-up and enjoy all the perks of logins, password and authorizations using the fingerprint sensor. At $179 it is on the pricy side, but I value not needing a cable and the sensor, so overall very much worth it. 5 |

The Apple 14 MacBook Pro with M2 Max processor has been fantastic so far. Nice keyboard and sound, sharp display, quick and long battery life. Compared to my old Macbook Pro 13 with an Intel processor, this machine runs circles around it and doesn't even need to be plugged into power to do it. I was a bit worried about compatibility with the ARM based processor and some of my software but everything I use has worked either natively or with Rosetta 2 which has been seamless. 5 |

Fits a 16 MacBook Pro, full size Apple keyboard with number pad and lots of papers, hard drives etc. It's nice to have a bag just for my computer and accessories instead of taking it in a rollerboard or backpack. 5 |

This is a very well made keyboard and a perfect replacement for the original Apple keyboard. 5 |

I'm using this on my standing office desk with a 17 MacBook Pro laptop. The height range seems reasonable, and although the tilt angle is fixed, it seems okay. The stand feels sturdy. I put it together backwards (with the brackets facing out instead of in) which better accommodates the width of my laptop. Office phone fits underneath no problem. I use it with a Bluetooth keyboard, and I'm so keyboard-centric that reaching up for the track pad when needed hasn't been too much of a hassle yet. I'm using this at a fixed work station. Taking it apart for mobile applications could be feasible, but it would take a minute. 5 |
