Apple Laptop With Windows Operating System

I'm a techy who has worked with a windows operating system for over 40 years. I never thought I would venture into or purchase an Apple MacBook of any kind but based on my needs with video, I decided to give Apple a try. What I've learned is I made a mistake by not purchasing a MacBook before now. Within the first week, I was saving time and creating content was oh so much easier. The reason I purchased the MacBook from B&H is because I've used them for years, particularly for high dollar items, and I wanted to get something in my hands immediately. I've never been unsatisfied with their high quality service and their fast response. They didn't disappoint me with the MacBook delivered within 24 hours.

I did not even have to install a driver, since Windows 7 already has the driver as part of the operating system. Works really well without any problems.

I am a long time Windows user, but opted to try this machine since it could run both operating systems (MAC being a closed system). A similarly configured Windows machine would be much lower in cost, but won't run OX. For a $ (at $ one wonders why this is not offered as part of the software with the machine) the machine can add server software to host websites, file share, have an email server, and the OSX (iPhone style) calandar/contacts integration, instant messaging. While not simple, it is easier to use (but less powerful and flexible) than a Windows based server. I found that in a small office environment intregration with OSX (IPad IPhone) very useful, and this is why I give the machine a 5 star rating (that and the machine is whisper quiet, but still very powerful). The machine comes with NO manual whatsoever. At this price you would expect at least a few pages of paper describing the features of the machine, setup instructions, and a thumb drive( there is no disk drive) that contains more detailed instructions. If you are new to Apple like me you will need to buy an instruction book and introduction to the operating system and to the server (if installed). When you need help, you are directed to your local @ and serviced by an Apple Genius in the same manner (in the same long lines) as IPhone and IPad users. Monitors and external devices are connected through Thunderbolt or USB devices. Thunderbolt technologies can be daisy chained, but make sure your devices have more than one thunderbolt port so that you can take advantage of daisy chaining. The only other wired ports are two network ports. Wireless support for a wireless mouse/trackpad and wireless keyboard, Bluetooth, wi fi, and air play are standard.

i use this one for my operating system windows 11 64 pro and is fast i load windows in 4 seconds . i was jaw drop amaze when i saw windows loading at those 4 seconds i was like naaaaa this thing is joking on me lol : i really recommend this product : i got a 1 TB and 2 tb for data keeping

I only have the operating system (windows 10) and a couple of programs on this hard drive. My desktop recognized it immediately and it boots up and shuts down much faster than before.

I have used apple products for many years and find that apple care is worthwhile. Especially when updating to a new operating system, glitches happen and the tech support is fast, excellent and always has US or Canadian English speakers. On a previous MacBookPro, the warranty ran out just a day before the issue arose and apple replaced a hard drive and even put in a new battery (which is usually not covered)

New computer required a new Spyder. This one worked well on the new Apple Big Sur Operating system with a new Mac Mini with M1 chip.

Love this laptop. Replacing my 10 year old MacBook. Still the best operating system

Works very well wirelessly with an old operating system.

I have hundreds of clients who have equipment with which I occasionally I have to communicate. I use an Apple laptop with the latest OS. Because the client's devices use only PC Windows, I use Parallels to convert to the Windows platform. Then I use the Keyspan serial adapter and a special modem to get the signal onto the phone lines. The Keyspan works every time.
