Apple Lightning Cable Fried

Needless to say, lightning does take out cable modems even on a surge protector. Mine would not work after being fried so I bought the same brand only to have the model not in working order when it arrived. I saw that I already had a NETGEAR router so decided to make it a pair with the cable modem. Have had no problems since installation. Only wish that the owners manual would be included in the box.

I had the very first year's Model One way back ('01?). Functioned perfectly until a lightning blast fried it through the outdoor antenna a few weeks back. This unit plus my little Phillips portable CD player is my garage system. The Model One is an AM/FM classic! Analog, just like my ears.

I was able to plug up to my old system that was fried by lightning and it worked perfectly! I have an older system and tech support was able to help me over love chat get the product I needed! Love the product and the customer service I was given!

I bought this unit to replace a Motorola modem/router that had been fried by a lightning strike. The Night Hawk was easy to install and connect and provides excellent coverage throughout our 3000 sq. ft. house.

Bought as a replacement for an outdoor unit that lightning fried. Two screws to install, plug it in, and adopt it in the console. It just works. We have great reception on the porch, deck and backyard now. Works well with my other access points. If the lightning gets this one, I'll definitely buy another.

The lightning cables have been around for years now so there isn't really anything new or innovative that makes this product stand out. But it is well made and feels durable. It's a great length and it works as you would expect it to. One thing that does impress me is that the plastic end with the lightning adapter is identical to the end of an official Apple cable. I've had a few third party lightning cables over the years and every one of them had a longer and usually fatter lightning adapter end. Sometimes an Apple cable would fit through the hole in a case to charge my phone but a third party cable wouldn't. In this case, Belkin's cable is just as capable as an original lightning cable. This is the first time I can remember thinking that anyone has made a cable as good as the one provided with the iPhone.

The cable is very soft but also thick enough. It is slightly thicker than Apple Lightning cable but much softer than it. Angled cable helps reduce strains on the device. Great packaging and does not feel cheap.
